The only thing that surprised me is that Rick Warren used the event to worm his way back into the spotlight. I expected Rick to pop up somewhere, but not here.
My thoughts exactly.
Just as I suspected, few have but my opinion of Warren is that he'd never make such an un-pc statement as Dan Cathey did but then he'd lose his "stature" in the eyes of the media.
That being said, Cathey was being interviewed by the Baptist Press, hardly a national "news" rag such as Slime" (Time) or "Snews Weak." Since when is the New York Times, the Washington Post, the LA Times, et al interested in the real America and the moral values of someone who "walks the walk?"
Is the Gay Mafia now so spooked that they've taken to scanning such un-pc articles coming out of the Baptist Press for heaven's sake? It seems as though the militant left has drawn a line in the sand (not that they hadn't before our "dear leader" spoke of his fondness for gay unions,) but any gay leftist heading for a little light reading in the Baptist Press will find all sorts of things not to like - biblical scriptures, for starters.
Seriously folks, Warren must surely be desperate to grasp on what a real man of integrity and conviction says, just to garner himself a bit of the old mojo. Sad for Warren, he's so yesterday.
I would very much like for that fat-assed, self-serving, self-promoting huckster to retreat to the shadows.
