Skip to comments.Palin to Cheney: Careful where you aim

Don't expect to see Sarah Palin and Dick Cheney on an elk hunt anytime soon.
The former Alaska governor slammed Cheney Tuesday for his assertion that it was a mistake to put her on the 2008 GOP ticket, saying the former vice president was being influenced by the "lamestream media."
Appearing to reference a now-infamous incident from 2006 when Cheney accidentally shot a campaign contributor on a quail hunt, Palin said sarcastically that Cheney was not known for his "misfires."
"Seeing as how Dick excuse me, Vice President Cheney never misfires, then evidently he's quite convinced that what he had evidently read about me by the lamestream media, having been written, what I believe is a false narrative over the last four years, evidently Dick Cheney believed that stuff and that's a shame," Palin said in an appearance on Fox News.

I have respect for Cheney for his relentless pursuit of terrorists, but the old timer needs to keep his mouth shut when it comes to denigrating the most promising future POTUS.
“Shame on Cheney. I wonder if he is jealous that Sarahs kids didnt turn out gay?”
That was uncalled for. I doubt Cheney would have much to be jealous of Palin’s daughter. What was the point of that comment again?
What you said. Couldn't agree more.
Cheney screwed up. He should have simply kept his pie hole shut.
He deserves to be called on it.
BTW, I’m just kidding Bill. Somewhat.... I don’t want to offend any of the factions here and be sent to the corn field....I give this two honks. honk!honk!
Thanks for the thread!
I wish VP Cheney hadn’t said this. It was uncalled for. We’ve got DemocRATS to spew crap like this. Republicans need to shut up and make the ‘RATS do their job. The 11th Commandment.
Kinda like sagar called out garjog!
Good for her.
Sarah made the ticket palatable. Cheney is the best.
How to reconcile this disagreement ? Cheney counts results, so in that sense he has a point. We lost. She raised lots of concerns about readiness (though no fault of hers) so he has another point if you operate in realville.
On the other hand, even Liz disagrees with pops and it’s quite clear Sarah has cajones and the common sense to do the job.....meaning President, not VP although she’d kill at VP too.
Too bad...these two would make a great hunting two-some.
At least instead of shooting a fellow hunter in the face, all he did this time was shoot himself in the foot.
How interesting to see the GOP-e seep out of his brain, causing him to join with Romney, McCain, Barbara and Laura Buish et al to try to marginalize Palin.
Every single time someone tries this tactic, it marginalizes the one speaking ill of Sarah Palin and builds up respect for her.
Hell....with a new ticker, how does Palin/Cheney sound ?
How to reconcile this disagreement ?
There’s nothing to reconcile. Cheney was in the wrong. Violated Reagan’s 11th Commandment.
He has had several heart attacks and heart surgery. At his age (around the same as me) that can dull even the sharpest mind...I’ll give him a pass on this. Age sucks....
BTW, it seems one or two posts have been omitted.
I have no idea why.
