Of the 31 absentee ballots that have become the focus of an investigation into possible election fraud in Hialeah, at least one appears to have a forged signature.
The ballot belonged to Zulema Gómez, 81, who entered a nursing home five months ago suffering from Alzheimers and a brain tumor. On the ballots envelope someone wrote: The lady is my sister. I sign like this because she has arthritis + she has difficult signing. Thank you.
However, her sister, Olga Gómez, said Wednesday that she never wrote that message. Two weeks ago, she said, Daisy Cabrera took the blank absentee ballot and promised to go to the nursing home in Miami Springs and deliver it to Zulema. The sisters have known Cabrera for four years, when she visited them during the 2008 presidential election to help them with their absentee ballots.
She was going to the [nursing] home, said Gómez, 68. I dont know if she actually went, but its a lie that I signed that.
Cabrera could face serious charges if it is established that she forged the signature on the ballot.
Last week, Cabrera, a well-known ballot woman, or boletera, in Hialeah, was arrested while carrying a dozen ballots while she rode in a Toyota Camry driven by Matilde Martínez. A day before, she had taken 19 ballots to a post office in Hialeah, not knowing she was being watched by detectives from the Miami-Dade Police Departments Public Corruption Unit.

FINALLY cracking down on VOTE FRAUD.....ALL which is done by DEMOCRATS!!!
Vote by mail is how we vote here in this little southwest corner of Washington State.
I collect the vote envelopes out of our mailbox and open mine to check it over. Then I research the candidates and issues, writing information down. The weekend before the election I get all three of us together and we discuss the issues and candidates. Each of us decides how we are going to vote. Occasionally we all agree on the same things or candidates. We mark our ballots, place them in the secrecy envelopes, and sign the outer envelope containing the secrecy envelope and ballot.
I hand deliver all three ballots to the main elections office by 4:30 PM on election day.
I don’t believe that makes me a ballot lady. But it sure sounds as though there is some kind of racket going on down in Hiaheah.

(I watched the actual court hearings during Gore 200)
THat method of voting is convenient. IT is also rife for fraud. Anybody who wants to steal an election just needs to watch for homes where families are on vacation, or have moved but haven’t sold yet. They collect the mail for the couple of days that they know the ballots are being mailed. Then they can forge everything.
With apathy so high, it is likely the people they hit will never vote, or notice (more than 2/3rd of people who could vote often fail to in elections).
Just goes to show how stupid Third Worlders are----too dumb to navigate the sophisticated American voting system.
Only a nincompoop would write a note on an absentee ballot.
=============================================
Mmmmm....those "Obama Dreamers"-------practicing voter scams for November----still can't get it right.
The stupidoes got scams up the kazoo.
Obama thinks he's got it made----sucking up to the Third World---salivating over multiple forged/faked identities---all registered to vote.
Now we have to flush out corruption in the Dept of Family and Children Services in South Florida. Gave a woman a ride (I needed gas money and she needed a ride for her disabled daughter’s appt) to a lady and a woman was complaining that it had been 45 days since she lost her job and applied for food stamps when it’s only supposed to take 30 days max. So the (barely not a tranny, obviously gay guy) in the office said quite loudly “Well, it’s all these Republicans that have cut the budget and the service center can’t handle it all” (it seems you can’t get through which is why the lady needed a ride to the office in the first place) and he promptly said that’s why “We all need to vote Democrat this time! And get Walker out!”
Now A) are they intentionally being slow to frustrate people into voting Democrat, or B) just seriously underfunded?
And why the heck is this guy allowed to campaign in a public office?
Down here, that could be the tens of thousands. MANY empty condos of snowbirds that typically are rented out of season, but aren’t from the economy.
It is very important that Republicans do these investigations and turn up these examples of fraud.
Democrats are waging a full scale war to oppose voter ID laws, not only in the courts but in the court of public opinion (this part is key). The narrative they are pushing is that there is NO evidence of fraud and that voter ID laws are simply another poll tax to keep minorities from executing their voting rights.
What gives Democrats the advantage is that voting laws are designed in a way to make fraud difficult and costly to prove, so Dems will aways said that it's only a few cases that have been shown compared to huge masses of voters with no IDs(???? do they ever buy cough medicine or cigarettes or alcohol or fly??).
The GWB Republican congress last year 2006 reauthorized the voting rights act that makes it very difficult to change voting rules (purge rolls or add voter ID laws) in many states like FLA, they must get Holders permission to do it. At the time I was warning that this was a BAD idea but those smart/foolish Republicans were looking towards minority voters, ie Obama voters.
The county I live in went to vote by mail because it was cheaper than operating polling places.
From what I’ve read of other states, fraud can be just as easily accomplished whether voting by mail or at polling places. Integrity is what counts.
In the Seattle City area, election fraud is known. That county always waits until all other counties have counted ballots before finalizing their count. Dogs and dead people regularly vote in Seattle.
"The most aggressive contemporary voter suppression in the African-American community is the wholesale manufacture of ballots at the polls and absentee, in parts of the Black Belt," Mr. Davis said. "Voting the names of the dead, and the nonexistent, and the too mentally impaired to function cancels out the votes of citizens who are exercising their rights."
What in the world was he talking about Walker for? Is there a different “Walker” in So. FL?
As for political campaigning in a county office from a county worker, it’s definitely not allowed. I would file a report with whatever department handles those issues (not through DCFS). Sorry I’m not sure what dept. that would be, but I’m sure if you contacted a Republican state legislator they could probably help you find the right place to report it.
My mistake, it was Rick Scott. I just woke up and my brain wasn’t fully activated with the stimulant called COFFEE yet, LOL!
There's no English spoken in Hialeah. It's filled with corrupt Cuban politicians, and it's Republican. Why else would the Miami Herald be pursuing the story?
Oh, lack of caffeine is something I can COMPLETELY understand! LOL
A Hialeah woman was arrested and charged with absentee-ballot fraud Thursday morning after police say she fraudulently obtained a ballot from a terminally ill woman in a nursing home.
The arrest ended more than a week of speculation in a case that has roiled Hialeah and the races for Miami-Dades state attorney and mayor.
.......Police detectives followed Cabrera over two days last week. On July 24, according to an arrest affidavit unsealed Thursday, she dropped off 19 absentee ballots at a Hialeah post office.
The next day, detectives followed Cabrera into a nursing home, where she went into the room of a woman identified by police as Z.G. The officers overheard Cabrera telling Z.G. that she was sent there by the womans sister to get her signature. A few minutes later, Cabrera left.
When the detectives went into the room to speak to Z.G., they found she was unresponsive. The detective said hello and waved to Z.G., whose eyes were open, the warrant says, but she [stared] off into space and did not respond to the greeting.
Cabrera then visited five more assistant-living facilities before police stopped her and found 12 absentee ballots in her possession......
