"For many who went to eat at Chicago-area Chick-fil-As Wednesday amidst calls to support the company president’s anti-gay marriage stance, it didn’t come down to whether they agreed with him or not.
Rather, they said, it was simply to show they supported Dan Cathy’s right to espouse his beliefs — beliefs that they said shouldn’t impact whether another Chick-fil-A should be allowed to open in the city.
“I came out to support freedom of speech,” said Bob Matter, a paralegal and self-described atheist, liberal and supporter of gay marriage. Matter, like hundreds of others, flocked to the Chick-fil-A at 30 E. Chicago. “There should be no government limits on what you believe.”
Support even came from members of the gay community like Amnwari Ndlay-Owusa, a South African who is a student at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Michael Medved had Philadelphia Councilman James Kenny on his radio show on Tuesday. Medved was cordial to him, but Kenny became unhinged when confronted with his own hypocrisy and lies.
The main "talking point" that Kenny used over and over again (and that Rahm Emanuel, Mendino, and all the other fascists agreed upon) was the word "Hater!"
You see, anyone who believes, holds dear, or espouses Judeo-Christian law and teachings is a "Hater!"
Medved asked Kenny if the Catholic church (of which Kenny has said he is a member) was filled with "Haters!" The church (for now) still espouses marriage as between a man and a woman. Kenny tried to back track, but he simply became more hostile, shouting at Medved and accusing him of talking over him.
In Nazi Germany, you could be labled as anti-German simply by expressing a viewpoint that was supported by a Proverb or a Psalm. Read about what happened to Dietrich Bonhoeffer. The Nazis would shout that you were espousing "Jewish lies!" and you would be hauled away to be questioned, tortured, and imprisoned. Your property would be taken away, and your family could then be arrested as well.
Doesn't anyone see what is happening here? We are being confronted, head on, by evil Fascism.
If the Left, Obama, Democrats, the Media, and Homosexuals can simply brand you as a "Hater!", then you are lower than a child rapist, a traitor, and a murderer. They can then do anything they want to you.
Some Americans stood up to Fascism on a small, but important scale yesterday by flocking to Chick-Fil-A.

Clearly the CFA story has wings, so to speak. It puts the Dems in a difficult situation. Does the party (Obama) support Emmanuel’s and Menino’s attempt to ban on CFA in their cities or not? A neutral press would put this question to Obama. They won’t unless the Romney campaign makes an issue of it. Romney’s campaign is probably focus-grouping it now (sarc).

Cathy’s statement was PRO BIBLICAL MARRIAGE.
And the left’s outrage exposes the true goal of their agenda - the dissolution of biblical marriage.
Back when I was “doing battle” on “mixed” websites, I offered up the “civil unions” compromise.
The homos were INSISTENT that it be “marriage”, and treated in law and in society as EXACTLY THE SAME as a man/woman marriage. They would accept no less.

Exactly. Doesn’t matter if you agree with Mr Cathy our not. What all freedom and liberty loving people should recognize is the danger of letting the Mayors et al get away with their statements. It is wrong, very very wrong for them to use their public offices to discriminate against businesses based on personal beliefs. They should be upholding the law, not acting like third world despots. Their actions are un-American.

They want to be normal. Some can be with help, but the abnormal can never be normal.
Chicago aldermen are absolute authorities in their wards. They can make or break a business through zoning, permitting/inspections for construction, Streets and Sanitation, and health inspections.
At any point a Chicago business can be shut down. Many politicians have used inspections and zoning to get rich. The issue isn’t just pertinent to Chicago, but to all urban areas.
Zoning, licensing and permitting are all anti-consumer, anti-commerce and anti-human. Politicians and their bureaucrats don’t know better. Most often they’re an impediment to improvement in their own communities.
At some point GOP governors must address zoning, licensing and permitting issues. Think of the effect of licensing on medical costs alone. A full blown doctor, a recognized expert in their field cannot doctor in America without a license. The licensing is too much of a hassle.
Liberal politicians are so out of touch that even their demagoguery is failing.

God defines marriage, not the State. Any “marriage” a State defines is just as much as legal fiction as when it tells us that a corporation is a “person”.
Jesus tells us that from the beginning of humanity, it was God’s intent that marriage would only be one man and one woman. Scripture in many ways and places also tells us that God defines sexual morality and that people who refuse to practice that morality cannot qualify for the freely given gift of eternal life.
The State attempts to force us to recognize its power. One way is to presume the power to define who is married and who is not. We cede this power in part because we allow the State to tax incomes and estates, so to administer such taxing power, the State must define who it considers to be “married” and who is not. Just as when it defines a corporation to be a “person”, the State does not hesitate to define anyone it pleases as being “married, totally apart from how God would define it.
If you review the arguments advanced by supporters of same-sex marriage, you will find that a lot of them are related to taxation, inheritance and medical issues. But existing law addresses those and any defects in the law can be easily repaired apart from the issue of “marriage”.
I don’t want a government that can tell me what I may or may not do in the privacy of my own home or relationships. In a Constitutional Republic with a provision that prohibits Congress from making any law respecting religion, I have to allow others to have their own beliefs and morality. I can only be an advocate for the morality and beliefs that I think are true. I take my understanding of sexual morality from Scripture and that is where I learn that God considers sodomy to be an abomination.
If a State decides that two (or more) people can marry, if that is all that happened, I could live with that because I don’t have to approve, change my beliefs or what beliefs I pass on to my children.
However, once gays have sufficient influence with a State to redefine marriage, gays don’t stop there. They use the State to forbid me from acting on my morality and beliefs. In fact, the State in some cases forces me to accommodation in their practices.
If I have children in public school, the State will insist on teaching them that gay marriage is just as normal as godly marriage. You will be sanctioned as a parent if you attempt to remove your child from such indoctrination.
If you run a business that could provide services to gays, you will be sanctioned if you decline to treat them as any other customer. For example, if you run a wedding photography business, you will be sanctioned if you decline to photograph a gay wedding.
In short, gays will jam their lifestyle down our throats because when the State says they are equal it is forbidden for a private citizen to dissent from that status. In doing so, they seek to force me to give them approval for something that I will never approve of. It is that last point that galls gays the most.
Curiously, when liberal advocates of gay marriage are asked if their policy also would allow polygamy or polyandry, they recoil in horror and insist that it does not. However, logic demands that it does. I would ask how same-sex parents are going to react in the future when Utah public schools insist on indoctrinating the children that LDS-related polygamy is just as “normal” as same-sex “marriage”. The fact that this will be an issue will show yet again that gay “marriage” is not about marriage at all, it is about forcing the rest of us to approve of repugnant sexual immorality, something that LDS polygamists never demanded.
Do you remember the scene in the movie Gladiator, when the evil emperor wants to thumbs down the gladiator, but the crowd is cheering, so he is 'forced' to thumbs up instead? The crowds at CFA are like that.
We are seeing the begining of a second American revolution.
Recall after the Lawrence v. Texas, the Left denied there WAS a homosexual agenda. The arguments for lowering the age of consent (and thus pushing it in our schools) and same sex marriage/adoption began.
There is no truth in liberalism. They lie like Stalinists.
Not in Chicago they aren’t. The voice of the people is a tertiary concern here.
