Russia moves strategic nuclear missiles to Cuba
Pravda ^ | 1 August 2012 | Lyuba Lulko

With the full consent of the Cuban leadership, on May 11 of this year, our country has not only resumed work in the electronic center of Lourdes, but also placed the latest mobile strategic nuclear missiles "Oak" on the island. They did not want to do it the amicable way, now let them deal with this," Putin said.

I really don’t see why. Everything is going their way, unless they think Valerie Jarrett won’t be in office in January.
Or is it just Putin trying to help Barack be more flexible?

Good Lord! Here we go again. I was involved in the last Cuban Missile crisis as the whole darn USAF was put on alert. With our Marxist in charge there is no telling how far Putin will be able to go before Obama creates Armageddon. October surprise anyone??

Not to worry. After November, Obama will have a lot more flexibility.

He's already announced his intention to unilaterally reduce our nuclear stockpile. What cards does he have left to play?

Smart diplomacy my aching tuchus.

We’re going to find out soon. Remember how in order ape the Clinton administration’s crowning achievement, being in office during the dot com boom, these Bozos tried to sell the green jobs boom scam and fell flat on their face. So now the strategy is to do a Beatlemania of JFK’s greatest triumph. Obummer doesn’t have long to do it but thinking about how he would handle it has epic fail written all over it.

This can’t be true or can it but under obama anything like this is possible. I was on board a ship in October of 1962 getting ready to wade ashore for an invasion of Cuba. (USS Renville APA 227)

I’m angry too! In 1962 I was taught to dive under desks at school. Fat lotta good that would have done. I never forgot or forgave the Cuban commie bastard! Unreal that he is still alive and still near the seat of power. Someone should remind Fidel that he can’t take an air conditioner where he’s going.

I was in high school at the time. I saw convoy after convoy of bombs, Hawk missiles...you name it, headed into MacDill.

I saw RF-101s zoom climb and head south after takeoff.

Scary stuff.

It worked for the Soviets in '62, we pulled our missiles from Turkey, they pulled theirs from Cuber.

When they hit us, we should be sure to hit the islands hard enough back that they are below sea level. That will solve that issue.

Nothing like a Manchurian president to stir things up.

I was a young seaman apprentice just out of boot camp. I had just completed 6 weeks of the normal 8 week training course at YN”A” school when I and 8 other classmates received emergency orders in November 1962 to the Naval Communication Station in San Juan to relieve/assist Radiomen process flash traffic to all naval units in the area. They gave us interim secret clearances and a typewriter. I’ll never forget the sea of endless yellow tape.

Port and starboard duty (8 on and 8 off) for two months but since I was a young 18 at the time I managed a LOT of liberty in Old San Juan (mostly on Luna Street) drinking 25 cent beer and cuba libre’s. Wonderful times!

This ‘Mary’ will invite them for a beer summit and they will all walk - well ‘Mary’ will skip - away blaming Bush.

Of course he can invite Boner so ‘Mary’ will apologize and Boner can cry on cue to show those baddies we are serious and may even consider ‘scratching their eyes out’.

Notice this is the 50 year anniversary so this may have some bearing on the ‘news’.

I was an RM2 at the 5 cornered puzzle palace (OPNAV Comm @ Pentagon)and don’t remember any extenuating circumstances (there may have been, it just doesn’t register) now when JFK was taken out, I was at NSS (NAVCOMMSTA WASHDC) Cheltenham and we did go on lockdown for a few days - nobody on, nobody off but we were right below Andrews AFB so that may have had something to do with that.

Funny, of all the ‘real time’ events of my time in (56-64) the only one that stands out is JFK - guess didn’t really pay attention to many of them because that was ‘our job’?

Did you realize that people who got the AFEM for that era (`62) are eligible for VFW?

Alas, Obama is no Monroe; he’s not even a Kennedy, and, thanks to this feckless naif in the White House, American political clout is rapidly diminishing worldwide.

The eventual price, when the bill comes due, will be horrendous both for Americans and for world peace.

Thank you, Obama voters.
