GLADD to look like a bully at Chick-fil-A 'Same Sex Kiss Day', not a victim
Examiner ^ | Aug 2 2012 | Radell Smith

Posted on 08/02/2012 10:28:16 AM PDT by scottjewell

Today, gay rights supporters from across the nation are contemplating whether the crowd they draw to Chick-fil-A restaurants for their planned ‘kiss in’ this Friday will be anything like that drawn for the ‘Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day’ yesterday.

Yet based upon some recent comments made by those who claim zero religious affiliation, no past Chick-fil-A patronage, and absolutely no animosity towards the gay community, it doesn’t look good for them.

The planned gay protest, orchestrated after the Chick-fil-A company’s President Dan Cathy affirmed his support for traditional marriage, seeks to undermine the restaurant chains freedom of religious liberty in the marketplace.

Homosexual activists hope that by visiting the...restaurants across the country—and kissing their partners in front of... patrons...—that it will somehow motivate the general public to rally for marriage equality on their behalf.

Instead, it is likely to do just the opposite, as proven by comments in today’s LA Times article titled “Gay-rights group plans kissing protest at Chick-fil-A.”

...

[A] guest during the chicken chain's appreciation day thinks Dan Cathy is getting “a bad rap” for his support of traditional marriage...

That's definitely not the results hoped for by GLADD when they sought to bring negative attention to the Chick-fil-A franchise president's comments supporting biblical views...

Gay groups opposing Chick-fil-A’s stand...had hoped to rally more support for marriage equality... Instead...they drew greater support for men like Cathy who feel they should be able to express their own beliefs in the marketplace too.

The GLADD “National Same Sex Kiss Day at Chick-fil-A” protest scheduled for this Friday, therefore, may not have the desired outcome being sought. And, in fact, the gay rights group may find that the country isn't ready to rally for marriage equality when it is clothed in bully tactics directed at others exercising their freedom of speech too.

Somehow, it just doesn't come across as heroic or meaningful in the least:

If their goal is to get patrons to toss their chicken sandwiches I’d say its a pretty effective tactic.

I’ve heard rumors that law enforcement is a ready to pounce on these deviants if they insist on disturbing the peace, initiating hate crimes, and harassing patrons at any of the CFA restaurants. Good!

The “news” media are very good at spinning the news their way and not reporting what they don’t like. Watch them hype the homo kiss-in and make it look like it’s the only thing that happened at CFA this week.

I hope that’s true. We need them to over-reach one more time (*fingers crossed*) - if we give them enough rope they just may hang themselves.

Hey, Chick-Fil-A®: Have some fun with those lowlifes. Put some EXTRA-SERIOUS Ex-Lax® Sauce on their food! Invite the media dirtbags to film it.

If the protesters obey the law — if they do not obstruct customers’ access to / from the restaurant, particularly (for my fear is that the protesters will go inside, sit down, and not buy anything and/or just stay seated for hours and hours) — then, hey, that’s America. Protest away!

If they break the law, though, call the cops and book ‘em.

As to the gratuitous PDA, I’m quite sure that CFA and most any other restaurant would toss even a paying customer for vigorous, extended make-out sessions on site.

Where are the hungry lawyers willing to file a class action suit for Sexual Harassment?

Forcing others to participate in their homosexual sexual practices is exhibitionism and harassment.

I’m crying and upset and afraid to eat in public places because of it!

Whatever cause they’re into, the left can never resist taking it a step too far.

Looks like I wont be bringing the grandchildren out on Friday.
There were two guys fondling each other in the park this spring and my grandson asked what they were doing.
I explained to him there are people out there who are exhibitionists and do those things to get attention from people who walk by. I also said that the attention they are hoping for is not the kind of attention a person strives for.
I said would it be good for you to do something bad to get attention, or do something good to get attention like robbing a bank or working at the soup kitchen. He chose the soup kitchen.
He said they should be ashamed of themselves.

Well, of course, what they want is to get kicked out. That way they can cry "discrimination!" You can bet they've already got places & times all worked out for the media that will just "happen" to be there.

That isn't what I said. The "news" media will spin the homo kiss-in to make it look like it's the only thing that happened at CFA this week. They think they can still control what people see and hear about what's going on. They hardly reported on Wednesday's activities, and a CBS Atlanta film crew said they would not tape the day's event, they want a protest, which they'll get (and record and broadcast) on Friday.

No way will it be bigger than Appreciation Day. The "news" media will (try to) make it look that way.

Maybe they will come out in their outrageous, “Pride” attire and go “Wellstone Memorial” for all of America to see. Hopefully, there will be those who will record these antics and broadcast to America what the Lamestream won’t.

This is so way too funny! Here we have the CEO of Chick-fil-A expressing a U.S. Constitutional 1st Amendment right to Free Speech. The libs and folks in the “whatever” gender category go absolutely apoplectic! Result, Chick-fil-A gets the greatest free advertising in history, scores record sales, and the libs are willing to hand them even more business. The CEO of Chick-fil-A is a genius!

What drugs are you taking that makes you believe the Sheriff of Nottingham's Men would EVER "pounce on these deviants..."? This is Obama's America, and the cops ARE NOT on our side.

If a customer so much as flips a balled up napkin at one of these groping pervs, that customer is going to get tased, cuffed and hauled off for committing a "hate crime".

I don’t think the “kiss-in” will be very well attended, but I’ve heard from several people that they are going to Chick-fil-A on Friday (or going back) to show continued support while the protest is going on.

We plan to go on Friday, too, and join the kiss-in. We’ve been traditionally married for nearly 32 years and enjoy kissing very much. Thought we’d bring some balance to the event. ;-)

CFA is a private business and has the Right to their own Rules. They need to post a sign on their front door-—that no intimate sexual behavior allowed on their premises and they will be physically removed if they don’t honor the Rules of the establishment-—keep “love” (or lust) for the privacy that true love and respect demand.

A peck on the cheek or holding hands is not offensive-—groping in public, as well as sexually charged kisses are a sign of decadence and disrespect for others. It is rude and destroys the ambience for others. No one has the Right to destroy a private business which whatever behavior they want..... These creepy, immoral people need to go back into the closet.
