[OFFICIAL CHARGES OF DISCRIMINATION FILED BY GAY RIGHTS REPRESENTATION AGAINST CHICK FIL A - IL]

The Civil Rights Agenda, a local LGBT rights advocacy group, filed multiple complaints with the Illinois Department of Human Rights Thursday, alleging that the Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A restaurant chain’s “intolerant corporate culture” violates Illinois law and a provision in the state’s Human Rights Act.

“In our current high speed media and social media environment, Chick-fil-A has announced and caused to be published, to hundreds of millions of people, that LGBT people are unacceptable and objectionable,” said Jacob Meister, Governing Board President of TCRA and the attorney who filed the complaint. “They have made it clear the lives of LGBT individuals are unacceptable to them and that same-gender families are unwelcome at Chick-fil-A.”

You point out a very, very important distinction:
Society and civil jurisprudence can promise tolerance. They cannot promise approval.
They also cannot promise celebration; nor the preclusion of LEGITIMATE COMPETING IDEOLOGIES (such as the promotion of traditional marriage).

Why is the signature and other information about the complainant blacked out?

If this is a public document, then everything, EVERYTHING about it should be public. Under the US Justice system, there are no such things as anonymous complaints. And what about standing? Has this individual suffered discrimination from Chick-fil-A?

We're entering into Starchamber territory here. This is like that Canadian Rights Tribunal that prosecuted people, including columnist Mark Steyn, for “hate speech.”

Can’t see where they have any legit reason to do this.

CFA didn’t denounce or deny service to any pervs that I know of.
They only stated they have morals.

Won’t go no where. Makes me want chicken sandwich right now. I’m out the door.

I don’t see how anything like “Chick-fil-A has announced and caused to be published, to hundreds of millions of people, that LGBT people are unacceptable and objectionable” can be documented... If it existed - the damning information would already have been published... nothing of the kind exists

This is absolute BS. They did no such thing. As usual, leftists have absolutely ZERO understanding of true liberty... They do NOT have the support in these endeavors that they think, and they should be aware of that after yesterday. Millions of people - Christian and Non-Christian alike were out in force yesterday to support the FIRST AMENDMENT - whether they agreed with Dan Cathy or not. I hope this does go to court and that the Cathy family will be able to point out how they have NOT discriminated against ANYONE in regards to customer service, employees, nor even franchisees.

We really are in a civil war now.

Look at the depth of feeling this issue generates. And then look at all the people who tell you that social conservatism doesn't matter and is an election liability.

I suppose the journalist/reporter from the Chicago Phoenix used his own discretion (for the safety of the Plaintiff?). If you go to the article link, there will be another link saying, “Read Document”: this will take you to a total of 9 pages on this filing by TCRA.

think CFA is the respondent/defendant here. Undisclosed Complainant would be the plaintiff.

“Look at the depth of feeling this issue generates. And then look at all the people who tell you that social conservatism doesn’t matter and is an election liability.”

ABSOLUTELY. Fiscal issues, issues of foreign policy or employment or taxes are important - BUT it is the SOCIAL issues which make us human. They stir our passions as nothing else does. I think both the GOP and the Dems have vastly, disastrously UNDER-estimated the importance of an issue like this. Aug 1 2012 was proof of this.

Oh, yes, I misspoke. Yes, I meant to say CFA is the defendant (whose address and phone # appear on p 1 of the document.) Those represented by TCRA are the plaintiffs. My bad. Sorry.

Homosexuals are the fascists' brown shirts, just as in NAZI Germany until Hitler purged them. Even Hitler feared the militant homosexuals. Do not underestimate these people, they are very dangerous.

BUT it is the SOCIAL issues which make us human.

I will go one further. It's the social issues which make us conservative. Without a social underpinning, we do not always make differentiation between right and wrong. Our conservatism becomes one of convenience.

We know not to spend more than we take in because it's fiscally wrong. We know not to kill the unborn because murder is wrong. We know gay 'marriage' isn't palatable because homosexuality is wrong.

Too many politicians don't differentiate, but rather triangulate. They are a big reason why this country is in the mess it's in now.

The Civil Rights Agenda, a pervert support group, has announced and caused to be published, to hundreds of millions of people, that LGBT people are unacceptable and objectionable,” said Jacob Meister, Governing Board President of TCRA and the attorney who filed the complaint. “They have made it clear the lives of LGBT individuals are unacceptable to them and that same-gender families are unwelcome at Chick-fil-A.”

Chic-Fil-A has neither said nor "caused to be published" any such thing.

If mental deficients could file court charges based on THEIR inferences and delusions, EVERYTHING COULD BE A 'CIVIL RIGHTS' VIOLATION.

I can't get to a Chic-Fil-A restaurant easily, but I am willing to donate the price of one meal a week and the cost of gas it would take to get to the nearest one (40 miles) to aid their legal defense.

Take that, you pervert GLBT freakozoids!

Point well taken; and eloquently stated. Much appreciated.

A fiscal conservative becomes a RINO. The moral compass is not there, which is why so many of them have gone “soft”.
