Can any show-me staters tell us which of the 3 candidates is the most conservative?

Todd Akin -- far and away.

Steelman’s husband is a trial lawyer & it’s my understanding that as a State Senator she voted against tort reform.

That explains the Chamber of Commerce adds running against her.

Hector Maldonado is self-described “Lincolnian Republican conservative.”

Some people may remember him from the 2010 primary Senate race when he ran against Roy Blunt..........

Senate-seeker wants Obama birth-certificate treatment - Mexican-born candidate: ‘If I didn’t prove citizenship, I’d be removed from the ballot’ -

By Chelsea Schilling - A Mexican-born candidate for U.S. Senate said he is considering a lawsuit against the Missouri secretary of state for discrimination because her office forced him to produce a birth certificate but “didn’t make Obama show proof of citizenship” to appear on the ballot.

Maldonado, a U.S. Army combat veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, explains on his website that he became a U.S. citizen in 1995. But he said Secretary of State Robin Carnahan sent him a letter in May asking him to produce documentation.......

I heard all three, Akin, Brunner and Steelman speak at the MO GOP convention last June and Steelman failed to impress me with her mediocre speaker abilities. Can’t say much about Brunner but his crew did pass out free hand sanitizer.

Representative Todd Akin sent out letters to constituents in April asking for support to bring charges against the Obama/McCaskill Team in a court of public opinion. He presented a list of sixteen charges.

Here are just a few.......

* Failing to uphold the oath to protect the US Constitution by making “recess appointments” when the Congress was not in recess.

* Taking us into war in Libya without Congressional authorization.

* Authorizing “Gay Marriage” in the military in violation of Federal Law (DOMA)

* Passed “ObamaCare” the takeover of healthcare by the Federal Government.

* Increased the deficit by 180% since 2008 and run up the largest deficit in U.S. history.

* Blocked the “Keystone Pipeline” project which would have provided jobs, improved America’s energy infrastructure, and reduced our dependence on foreign oil.

* Used taxpayer dollars to give grants to the failed green energy science project Solyndra (Solyndra subsequently went bankrupt).

*Oversaw, Fast and Furious, an operation under Eric Holder which allowed suspicious individuals to buy hundreds of guns in Mexico resulting in the subsequent death of a U.S. Border Patrol agent.

*Required birth control and sterilization services to be covered in health care ignoring religious institutions and the 1st Amendment. Later changed their mind when it became clear that everyone was outraged.
# # #

EXCUSE ME! As I recall the Constitution gives the House of Representatives the power to impeach a president! Akin needs to take his list and stand on the House floor and read it off to the entire group of Representatives and ask for THEIR support to bring charges against Obama. But he won’t.

They’re all cowards. That’s why I’m supporting Hector Maldonado. We need men and women of integrity and courage, not a room full of eunuchs.

I second those remarks. I am a conservative Christian and resident of Missouri and am shocked at the shallow comments posted here. Steelman is NOT to be trusted and Palin doesn’t always get it correct in her endorsements. I watched the Republican candidates debate a month or so ago and Steelman was woefully unprepared, unable to provide coherent answers to straightforward questions. Akin is very good; almost too slick but has a fairly solid voting record. I am a skeptic when it comes to returning the very same incumbents to office who have not performed to get our budget balanced. I am leaning towards Brunner because he is an outsider, followed by Akin. There’s no chance I will vote for Steelman; only in general election over McCaskill if I must.

Here's the challenge: real conservatives will split votes between Brunner and Akin...leaving the rah-rah Palin celeb candidate Steelman out in front.

People I respect seem to prefer Akin. Never heard of Maldonado.

What's a Missouri voter to do?

"Can any show-me staters tell us which of the 3 candidates is the most conservative?"

Wow, now there's something we haven't heard in, well, ever! Usually we're just looking for a conservative....but to inquire which of the 3 are MOST conservative?

Good times, good times. =)

Chamber of Commerce is beholden to the GOPe. I am hearing ads by the Florida chapter that are rather snarky.

Forgot-Steelman is strong proponent of Right to Work legislation. At both State and National level. Firedupmissouri.com pounds on her virtually every day because of this support. Unions have spent ton$ trying to defeat her. Discredit her. Tear her down. But she is still here...

GREAT NEWS: Sarah Palin is in Missouri hosting a picnic and campaigning for Tea Party Express endorsed U.S. Senate candidate Sarah Steelman
.
We are thrilled to report to you that Gov. Palin is in Missouri campaigning and hosting a bbq/picnic for conservative U.S. Senate candidate Sarah Steelman.  We are honored and excited that Gov. Palin sees the same characteristics of fiscal conservatism, high moral character, and strong leadership in Sarah Steelman that we see.
.
.
With the election this coming Tuesday, we look forward to, once again, joining Gov. Palin and fighting alongside her in the political trenches in Missouri.  With polls showing the race is too close to call, we hope that we can provide the momentum that the Steelman campaign needs to put them over the top.

.
.
.
Our ad is currently airing across Missouri and we need your support to raise enough money to keep it on the air through election day
.
.
We have been telling you about conservative U.S. Senate candidate Sarah Steelman since the Tea Party Express endorsed her earlier this year.  "Sarah is an economist who defends our tax dollars – like a mama grizzly defends her cubs," Palin says glowingly of Steelman.
.
We believe that the former Missouri State Treasurer is the best candidate to take on and defeat ultra-liberal incumbent Claire McCaskill.

With all of the political world's focus on the Senate election in Texas, which resulted in Tea Party candidate Ted Cruz's victory, the Missouri race has been over-shadowed.  We are sounding the alarm that the election is this Tuesday - 4 DAYS FROM NOW!

In some respects, the Missouri U.S. Senate race is even more important as we have a shot to take out an ultra-liberal incumbent in Claire McCaskill and take control of the Senate.  While most of our staff and resources were focused on Texas, we have been concurrently running TV ads statewide in Missouri for conservative Sarah Steelman over the past week.
.
We need to send representatives to Washington D.C. that recognize that our federal government has a spending problem and that take their job duties seriously.    Sarah Steelman is just that person and we need your support to help her defeat out of touch Sen. McCaskill.  Please make a contribution today.

Tea Party Express Endorsed Missouri Senate Candidate Sarah Steelman
>
Liberal Sen. McCaskill is vulnerable as Americans are fed up with her strong support of Pres. Obama's efforts to grow the size and control of the Federal Government in Washington.  McCaskill can not run on her record, but her large fundraising war-chest will go a long way in attacking and maligning her conservative opponent - former Missouri State Treasurer Sarah Steelman.

Sarah is the perfect candidate to replace Sen. Claire McCaskill, one of Washington’s most liberal senators and we need your support to make sure that she represents the Tea Party in Washington D.C.

.
Obama ally and liberal Democratic Sen. McCaskill has got to go!
.
One of Tea Party Express’ top priorities in 2012 is to elect a conservative majority to the U.S. Senate, and we are confident that Sarah Steelman is the candidate in Missouri best suited for the job.
.
Please help Sarah Steelman match the war-chest of McCaskill by making a donation to our campaign to take back the Senate - Donate Here

Steelman’s unabashed economic conservative record combined with the experience of running statewide races has prepared her to take on Senator McCaskill in what will be a tough race. We must defeat McCaskill in November, and we are ready to fight alongside Sarah in the coming months. Her early and strong support four years ago for Barack Obama revealed her true liberal inclinations to grow the government in Washington.
.
Americans are demanding real solutions to the fiscal woes facing our nation. Sarah Steelman’s understanding of the economy and experience managing Missouri’s $19 billion annual revenue and over $3 billion in investments in the state’s portfolio have prepared her to tackle the issues McCaskill has failed to address during her past 5 years in Washington.
.
Please show your support for Sarah Steelman by donating $25, $50, $100, $500 or even more today.  Donate Here.

"Steelman is not trusted to stand up against the party."

Not sure what you mean. She has been a thorn in the side of the golf club Republicans for years now. They despise her. Most recently, The Maryland Heights Patch (July 16) did a survey of 50 influential/establishment Republicans, mostly in the StL area. Akin won 51% to Brunner 45%. Sarah Steelman received no support!

This was a survey of Republican Party leaders, activists, cmte. people and elected officials. They dislike Steelman so much none gave her ANY support whatsoever! NONE!

I hope she rocks their incestuous little world come Tuesday!
