Used to be a great racetrack there - Ontario Motor Speedway (Indy 500 clone) - from 1970 to 1980; then it was bulldozed and turned into a shopping center, due to massive debt. Historic and wonderful track, in its short-lived time.
When we said *OMS*, everyone immediately thought, "Canada". LOL.

We were there one time during race week (Sept, 1971). My son was 9 at the time. Watched many practice runs with average lap speeds exceeding 200 mph. We got to meet a number of the drivers and my son collected autographs, including one from Swede Savage, who was killed two years later at Indianapolis.
