Bobby Casey is not Robert Casey, said state Rep. Scott Boyd, newly elected chairman of the Lancaster County GOP, referring to the late former governor and namesake of the incumbent senator. The nut fell far from the tree on this one, Boyd said, to laughter and applause.
In particular, he said, young Casey lacks his fathers intellect, as evinced by his record of voting with the positions of Barack Hussein Obama on 95 percent of roll call votes.
The avuncular Smith then soon detoured from his federal-debt-centric stump speech to take on his opponents patrimony.
Theres many people that say that Sen. Casey won the gene pool, said Smith, of Armstrong County in western Pennsylvania. He wound up on third base, and actually thinks he hit the triple. The latter echoes a famous remark that then-Gov. Ann Richards of Texas made at the 1988 Democratic National Convention to mock the wealthy background of George H.W. Bush, the 41st president.
Smiths barb came in the context of a self-deprecating riff on the simplicity of his last name and how hes proud to carry it into battle with the opponent who has a famous last name.
Casey allies were not amused by the disrespect from Smith, a former registered Democrat who was active in the tea-party movement that helped fuel the 2010 wave election that gave the GOP control of the U.S. House.
"Tom Smith didn't just fall from the Tea Party tree: he planted it by founding a Tea Party group," said Mark Nicastre, spokesman for the state Democratic Party. "He said he wants to go to Washington to represent the Tea Party while Bob Casey has been delivering for Pennsylvania's middle-class families."........
......the Smith campaign has launched its first TV ad of the fall campaign. Called Big Dreams, the spot links Casey to four years worth of high unemployment and spotlights Smith, a former union coal miner who founded a coal company, as a job creator.View it here.
His father was a closet collectivist totalitarian.
The son is an open collectivist totalitarian.
Not a dime’s worth of difference between them.
PA Senate Race ping.
Hopefully, PA has learned its lesson, but I NEVER trust Philly...OR the PA GOP leadership. NEVER.
But his father stayed true to his pro-life principles and faced the wrath of the Democrat establishment for it; Junior Casey quickly shed his pro-life principles when he got to Washington and the Democrats told him they needed his vote for Obamacare. Huge difference.
I’m not saying that I would have supported Bob Casey, Sr. for the Senate, but it’s absolutely not true that there isn’t a dime’s worth of difference between the two.
Lancaster County should go to Smith easily..it’s Chester, Montgomery and Delaware counties I’m concerned about. But we’re trying. It will be an uphill climb for Tom, especially among the National Enquirer educated masses around here. I expend a great deal of energy but sometimes you just can’t fix stupid.
Words of wisdom.
I especially don't trust Rob Gleason. He has repeatedly sold out conservative candidates.
It will be a tough slog for Tom. If he could only get Casey in a couple of debates. I swear most Pennsylvania voters just don’t know what a rock-headed moron Casey is! LOL!
Shadow, no. More like a stain. On the mattress.
H/T to R Lee Ermery...
I have called Casey’s Washington Office on numerous occasions. When I get a voice mail, I get no return call. When someone answers the phone, I get a phony sympathetic ear and that is all. If I write a letter or an email, I do not get a response. When I call to ask about my failure to receive a letter or email in response to my written inquiry, I am told to send another copy to the office. In essence, that means that the incompetent staff cannot find my original letter. Casey has got to go . . . he marches to the beat of the drum of Harry Reid.
“I especially don’t trust Rob Gleason. He has repeatedly sold out conservative candidates.”
An understatement if I ever read one.
It is, and don't get me started on Gleason's lifelong love affair with John Murtha! :)

No, Bobby-boy peed in the gene pool.
Punxsutawney Bob only comes out when votes are required.
This shadow used every previous elected position as a springboard to the next, never serving a full term at anything.....until now.
We have a full six years of Sen Casey and he has nothing to show for it except his blind support of Obama and Reid.
Casey never was his own man and has proven he never will be.
Thank you for taking the time to contact me regarding votes. I appreciate hearing from all Pennsylvanians about the issues that matter most to them. Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future about this or any other matter of importance to you.
