US to weigh gay relationships in deportation cases

Amid pressure from Democratic lawmakers, Homeland Security officials reiterated Friday that a foreigner's longstanding same-sex relationship with a U.S. citizen could help stave off the threat of deportation.

Binational gay couples are eligible for consideration under a federal program designed to focus resources away from low-priority deportation cases and let officials spend more time tracking down convicted criminals, said Marsha Catron, a spokeswoman for the Department of Homeland Security.

However, the Obama administration will not automatically shelve deportation cases or process green card applications involving foreign citizens married to same-sex American partners.

Catron said Homeland Security will continue to comply with a 1996 law that prohibits the government from recognizing same-sex relationships, even as it takes these relationships into consideration when evaluating possible deportation.

The Obama administration last year said it considers the Defense of Marriage law unconstitutional and would no longer defend it in court. …

The Holy Grail of liberalism - entitlement and preferential treatment.

So perversion is now a key qualification to be an immigrant? What if the illegal alien had a longstanding perverted relationship with a US person who is under age? Are child molesters therefore qualified to be first in line as they function as both parent and perverted sex partner?

On the other hand, I suppose it's good they're collecting this information, so the sodomite foreigner can be identified and deported. . . after the smoke clears.

This perversion should accelerate deportation.

This could be a terrorist’s dream. I can see CAIR establishing a dating service between citizen-believers and illegals with bad intentions. There’s already a website called “singlemuslim.com”. Maybe they’ll start one called “GayIllegal.com”. Heck, maybe I should reserve that URL and put it up for sale to the highest bidder.

US to weigh gay relationships in deportation cases

Rosie O'Donnell should be able to sponsor a whole village.

Seriously though, since when did one's relationship mitigate one's 'cease and desist,' from a particular crime. Deportation is merely a 'cease and desist' in spite of what politicians try to say otherwise.

That's because this administration leads with its behind... or something like that.

“Homeland Security will continue to comply with a 1996 law that prohibits the government from recognizing same-sex relationships, even as it takes these relationships into consideration when evaluating possible deportation.”

Liberals, the majority of collage professors, and government employees are the only people who could possibly delve into the logic of that statement for more than 5 seconds without wanting to set their hair on fire, take two spoons and jam them into their eyes, and then spend several hours throwing kittens off the roof of a highrise while listening to “The Greatest 12-Tone Hits of All Time Presented By Hop-A-Long Gunter’s Ol’ Time Polka Band”.

Well, 99% of illegal aliens just turned homosexual.

Switch flipped...

It’s interesting to watch Leftists at work.

One thing you can certainly say. They aren’t bashful. They go right for the jugular.

By comparison, our team in Washington wets itself before it gets out of the gate.

If they know enough about you to know your relationship status , let alone criminal record and immigration status then all they should have left to do is put you on a truck back to wherever it is your from after a prison sentence.

Simply dropping the case at that point is indeed a Gigantic wast of resources!

Maybe we should generate a new form of ID for this new group of immigrants, to protect them from discrimination, ya know.

Only legal immigrants rate green cards, so how about brown?

Sounds like the Obama regime is going to start raising fags in our country. A normal person in "love" with a U.S. could still be deported but the queers get to stay. That's freaky weird.

Barry and the 'RATS are desperate. It's got to be tough when your entire voter base is made up of freeloading communists, sexual deviants, braindead Hollywood celebrities and illegal aliens.

Should have less than no impact in determining deportation or not.

entitlement and preferential treatment

So someone legally immigrates to the United States, first on a work visa, then applying for permanent status and on to the goal of citizenship and along the way legally marries someone of the same sex in a state offering homosexual marriage and you wish to see that person deported while heterosexual mail order brides are rubber-stamped. Is that it?

Please explain the preferential treatment and entitlement as you see them?

Among the immigrants I'm acquainted with, I happen to know a legally "married" homosexual couple living in the DC metro area where one party has been on the arduous legal immigration path for many years now and the other party is a native born U.S. citizen.

I see a lot of problems with our immigration system, that particular law abiding couple does not represent one of them.

sickening how big the pro-sodomite lobby has become. Loads of normal people with children and two parent families have signed onto this gay marriage garbage. As though 5000+ years of Judeo- Christian religions and civilization are irrelevant

Unmarried homosexual couples get the same consideration as married heterosexual couples.
