A gay Los Angeles artist who's admitted to vandalizing a local Chick-fil-A eatery is being investigated by the police.
Artist Manny Castro was so perturbed by CEO Dan Cathy's comment about gay marriage, he decided to take matters into his own hands. Castro Thursday scrawled the words "Tastes Like Hate" in huge lettering on the side of the Torrance restaurant.
To his credit, the artist came forward to identify himself as the unknown vandal, but he should at least be forced to pay restitution for the cleanup. Why should the owner foot the bill?
This week's Chick-fil-A hoopla has shown how immature Americans have become. People on both sides of the gay marriage issue completely overreacted to Cathy's remarks.
While Cathy is the CEO of a company, he is not a senator or a governor, and has no political power. If you don't like his opinions, simply don't patronize his restaurants.
But, it's pretty disgraceful to punish the local Chick-fil-A owners, and their hourly wage employees, for the actions of the CEO. They are just trying to earn a living. Castro accomplished nothing by vandalizing the local Torrance franchise.
Forced to pay for cleanup? How about a thirty day jail sentence?
I guess he realized he's not much of a man so he decided to try and be a woman.
Then giving him thirty days in the slammer will be easy.

[1] In ANY case coming out of San Fran, an author should avoid the phrase, “Probed by Police”.
[2] If the guy ‘fessed up, what investigation is needed?. Get a copy of the confession, the money amount of the vandalism, pull out the old statute book, and CHARGE him!

Agreed...that’s a load of crap. People on “our” side were reacting in support of Cathy’s position and/or in support of his first amendment rights AFTER he was viciously attacked by the gay media and fascist politicians. THAT’S what prompted the reaction, and it was in no way an overreaction.

The left picked this fight, against this company, at this time.
The left took an interview given by the head of this company to a religious publication. They went online and found this interview. They went into their hissy fit meltdown mode over it, saying to their leftist buddies, can you believe somebody said they believe marriage is a man and a woman????
Then, someone, somewhere, gave the signal to launch this story into the blogosphere and into the MSM. The MSM dutifully went into controversial outrage mode, that this company has people who believe that marriage is a man and a woman. The MSM and the liberals picked this fight. It’s clear that they wanted to intimidate this company, and, to send a message to others in corporate America, that this will happen to them, if they don’t bow down to the homosexual agenda.
The reason the right reacted with Huckabee promoting an appreciation day, and people turning out for same, is because the left started this. The left picked this fight. It’s not as if Chick Fill A had announced some new public campaign against homosexual marriage.
I would add that, as if on cue, liberal mayors of various liberal cities chimed in that Chick Fill A is not welcome in their cities. Again, we saw liberal politicians picking the fight. They pre-emptively announced that this company is not welcome. They fired the first shot so to speak. (Are we still banned from using any violent or military imagery, as we were lectured about after Tucson? If so, I just violated that standard, sorry).
We can debate homosexual marriage all day long, but, the facts should be clear to all. The facts of how this incident with Chick Fill A became a liberal cause of the day should be broadcast far and wide. We can debate the issue, but, let’s all be aware of who wanted to have this debate over a fast food chain and their owner’s opinions.

We should credit him? We live in a world where criminals are proud of their crimes. Not only are they proud, they publicly brag about their crimes and expect to be praised and rewarded for them -- not only by private citizens but by those in government and industry as well.
Commit a crime, put it on your blog, then sit back and soak up the plaudits and take your bows for weeks afterward, thanking each of your fans personally for his support.

If this was about marriage then why not go after muslims, Islam, and their stores, gas stations, restaurants, and mosques?
