You were in the Republic of South Africa, the country's official name after 1961.

The Afrikaners were republicans from their anti-British heritage and were actually one of the groups that pushed the "British Commonwealth of Nations" to drop the "British" from its name.

Had one for an engineering supervisor once. He was one of the most brilliant men I’ve known and an exceptional worker. He brought his family here some time in the early 1980s. He could read the writing on the wall. Had a very interesting accent. Not that strong but distinctive. Just a brilliant man. Immensely effective in cutting through the crap and both asking and answering the right questions.

The problem the government had was with the illegal aliens who stole across the border from neighboring African nations in search of a job in SA. They became the population of Soweto.

The negro men in SA sat on their asses under the shade trees drinking sorghum beer while the women did most of the work. There was a pervasive shirking on the part of the men who, after drinking many bottles of the sorghum beer, would get even more stupid and resort to violence against their own womenfolk and children. At that point the police would be called in and forced to deal with the out-of-control males.

I saw many things that the bleeding-heart American liberal idiots would find incongruous: churches full of worshippers who were both white and negro on Sundays, high ranking negro police officers co-mingled with their white counterparts, factories manufacturing everything imaginable operating 24/7 where negro workers earned a wage that made them the highest paid blacks in all of Africa.

The farms grew everything imaginable stocking the markets with fruit, vegetables and meats at decent prices for all the population.

If it wasn’t for the investment and ingenuity of SA there wouldn’t be a track or a train operating on the entire continent!

I remember sitting in New York’s Laguardia airport waiting for my SA Airlines plane and watching a group of SA negro men. One said to another “This is going to be a long day for you, comrade, as we know you just flew in from the Soviet Union.” “Yes” answered the traveler who’d had such a long day due to the fact that the Soviet airline wasn’t able to fly to SA and was between planes. “I’ve been to the mountain,” he said.

The marching orders for the black communists were coming directly from Moscow and the United States and other European nations were joined in an evil boycott of a nation that was providing livelihood for their negro citizens.

All that is gone now, thanks to our government and the brainless liberals. South Africa has been ruined and even worse days lay ahead.

A clandestine recent poll showed that over 60% of blacks would welcome a return to minority rule as they were sick of what passes for government and life today. Those productive farmers are being slaughtered and the communist state has ruled that all farms owned by whites must be surrendered by a certain date. The murder and rape statistics skyrocket with the majority of rapes being committed on innocent young girls.

Those white settlers of centuries ago didn’t see upon their arrival a majority of black people in South Africa. Those blacks came later from other nations as the nation grew economically and industrially, but the authorities in SA had to put up with them.
