Time's up for climate change deniers
New Jersey Star-Ledger ^ | August 5, 2012 | by Star-Ledger Editorial Board

Forget the Olympics. Want to watch records being broken? Turn on the weather report.

Everywhere you look, Mother Nature is grumpy. Even skeptics are starting to come around. While no hurricane or heat wave is direct proof of warming, the worldwide pattern of record-breaking weather extremes most certainly is.

Accepting climate change as fact isn’t an inconsequential choice. Extremes in heat and cold are buckling highways, railroads and runways. Floods routinely overwhelm drains and streams. Sea levels could rise a foot by 2050, threatening coastlines worldwide. Adapting our infrastructure to new weather realities requires a committed population.

Retrofits will take generations. The cost is incalculable. Imagine the cost of ignoring it.

Climate ignorance is a self-inflicted wound. Citizens can no longer sit on the sidelines and pretend it’s a political position.

If the people who control the decisions and the purse strings continue to deny climate change, whether for politics or ignorance, a lot of folks will be left under water.

Anthropological Global warming would be believable if not for some stubborn facts that the AWG proponent keep avoiding.

1. The sun place a massive role in warming.
2. Mars warmed at the same time earth did
3. Every doom and gloom prediction has come and past without disaster.
4. The AWG experts consistently fail to recognize similar warming periods throughout history.
5. The “cures” all lead to control of successful countries.
6. The “cures” all lead to the redistribution of wealth.
7. AGW science has turned into a religious cult including tithing, worship, heretics, etc...
8. AGW Computer models can’t predict weather that has already happened.
9. AWG leaders don’t act in their personal lives as if AGW was true.
10. The IPCC reports include hearsay that has been proven false and has been admitted to by the IPCC.
11. Temperature monitoring stations are in disrepair, not positioned in correct locations.
12. Stations that show cooling have been found to be deleted form the data.
13. Countries have found that their submitted raw data doesn’t match the “official” data.
14. Ice data has been manipulated.

This is just my short list.

To add to the list:

15. The ‘ultimate cure’ involves massive de-population, taking the world count down from 7 blillion plus to just 500 million people. How do they plan to accomplish this?

I’d willingly admit that climate has wiped out entire civilizations millions of years ago and probably more than once. So what? It is out of our control!!!!! We can’t change it.

I dont deny that earth climate is changing- it has endlessly or Manhhattan would still be under a mile of ice

However I do deny that man caused it or can stop it or slow it down by taxing the rich and turning our lands and seas into noise polluting humming buzzing windfarms

root cause is the sun, and/or internal thermal processes

I can’t wait for the first space comapny to discover “fossil fuels” on a moon or an exoplanet

I understand India went green a few years back. They opted for solar, iirc. , and less coal. Result; mega millions without power in summer for several days.

The solution to all the problems of “climate change”, formerly known as “global warming”, is to invest a central government with the power to override the decisions of individuals in a free society and inflict solutions that come from brilliant, intellectual, intensely intelligent, atheist, non-Christian geniuses who will direct everything with the limitless abilities of their brilliant minds;
those who advocate “free market” solutions will be ground into dust by being discredited as bible-thumping,
gun-loving, knuckle-dragging morons.

IMHO

“What idiots! It’s called WEATHER.”

Around 1978, and a couple of winters before and after, we had periods of two or three weeks of steady below-zero temperatures.

At that time weather alarmists were sounding the bells announcing a new ice age, and they were claiming there was scientific evidence to prove it. (They were the usual brilliant intellectuals who showed up to scare everyone into giving up power to a central authority and they sounded like such geniuses, glasses hanging from thier noses and all.)

Just saying.

In related but unreported news, it has now been 2477 days since the last major (magnitude 3 or greater) hurricane has made landfall in the US. This shatters the previous record of 2231 days set 19 Oct 1906.

This calm period is caused by Global Warming, as would be a period of hurricane activity, and it's all Bush's fault.

*whinge* It's HOT! *whinge* There are so many STORMS! *whinge* Must be Global Warming, oops, I mean Climate Change!*whinge*

For heaven's sake, of course it's hot, that's called SUMMER! In a few months, it will be really COLD! And yes, there are lot of storms; there always have been, but it just SEEMS like there are more because we now see the coverage 24/7 thanks to Cable News channels. These storms aren't appreciably worse than the ones that occurred 50 years ago, it's just that there are now more buildings and humans in the way of them than there were 50 years ago, so there is a lot more damage left in their wakes.

So two years after the winter without a summer and record cold temperatures, we get this crap again?

In 2008 the Global Warming crowd claimed there would be NO sea ice at the arctic by the end of summer.

Sea levels could rise a foot by 2050, threatening coastlines worldwide

But they could also fall by a foot thereby creating a boom in beach front property worldwide. A$$hat$.

Or they could stay about the same which is what any sane person would expect.

Only the most gullible still believe in the climate hoax. This fish wrapper might sell it to the poor dolts who haven’t yet left Newark, but no informed person is still being fooled by the scam.

Let’s see, glasses hanging from their noses............hmmmm! Sounds like someone we all know and love............... Now I remember, carl levin right? Another brilliant scholar no doubt. You can tell by the glasses hanging from the probiscus. Looks like about a 4 inch reach to me. LOL! Of course our “friend” uncle chuck schumer does the same thing on occasion and we all know how brilliant he is. ROTFLMAO. Didn’t Foghorn Leghorn wear glasses in a similar manner?

Helping keep mankind warm for 65 years.
