If you want to know what the Catholic bishops are going to do about the contraceptive mandate in Obamacare that went into effect August 1st, then you may first have to know what they are going to do about illegal immigration to the United States from Mexico.
This is so because the same theology and Bible that teaches the Catholic Church to oppose contraception also teaches the Church to oppose illegal immigration. In short, the US Bishops can't oppose one without opposing the other.
Nevertheless, reality and politics in the United States have put Church leaders in a situation where they must confront a contradiction: How can they oppose ObamaCare while at the same time filling aging US parishes with illegal Mexicans?
Many pundits have decried the "pact with the devil" the Catholic Church made with the Democratic Party in the health care debate. I prefer to call it a dance more that a pact, yet this dance isn't the most significant dance the US Bishops are doing.
The dance that started it all was the Mexican Hat Dance the US Bishop's did in support of illegal immigration to the United States, especially illegal immigration from Mexico. This was the first dance. The second dance is ObamaCare:

Maybe I’m missing something, but I don’t recall a Bible verse which specifically discusses illegal immigration.
This is so because the same theologyshalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach
that teaches the Catholic church to oppose
contraception also teaches the church
to oppose illegal immigration.
I don't think YHvH wishes that we destroy
our nation with ANARCHY.
I simply point out that their are LEGAL requirements for entering this country, and that by skirting those LEGAL requirements, you are CHEATING LEGAL IMMIGRANTS, WHO OBEYED THE LAW, and are forcing them to compete for SLAVE WAGES!
....not much response, beyond muttering

The Catholic Church loves illegal immigration, as long as the illegals are Catholic. Denying that is ridiculous.
Indeed it is foolish to expect a religious stance value on the subject of immigration. Religion has nothing to do with any borders, unless of course you happen to live in the Middle east.
not true...they also supported the Haitian Boat people's right to resettle here, and the right of Muslims from Africa to emigrate to Europe. Most of these are economic refugees, fleeing terrible poverty.
The problem is that, in the past, you could just emigrate and get a job and later become a citizen. Now they have made it almost impossible for people without a PhD to visit the US, and even harder if you want a green card....
Utter nonsense. Islam has been trying to conquer Europe for 1000 years, and poverty has nothing to do with it.
They just want the dirt and the accumulated wealth of a superior civilzation and people. What they can't make, they plan to steal by invasion and intimidation.
There are many parts of U.S. Catholics’ application of Catholic “social justice” philosophy that are self-serving to Roman Catholic institutional interests.
The distance between the Roman Catholic Church leaders and the legislative architect of much of the present U.S. immigration policy (fewer northern European types, more southern European types and more Latin Americans) - Ted Kennedy - was zero.
I just saw a program about illegal immigration today. A illegal immigrant father was here to earn money for his family of seven kids back in Mexico. If you can barely feed yourself, why do you have seven children? It bothers me greatly that most Americans have only two children while these people have huge families then they come up here to steal jobs from Americans and take the food off our children’s plates. If you can afford seven children okay, but if you can’t afford them, don’t have them. Anything that angers me is the way that many of them start having children at the age of fourteen or fifteen. What is wrong with their cultural values anyway?
