Cruz: Tea party ‘overwhelmingly’ behind Romney
The Washington Times ^ | August 5, 2012 | Sean Lengell

Ted Cruz, who rode a tea party wave to win the Texas Republican Senate nomination last week, said Sunday the movement will “overwhelmingly” support Mitt Romney in the November presidential election.

Mr. Cruz said tea party activists will rally in defense of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee because they’re “energized” to defeat President Obama.

“I have spoken with literally thousands and thousands of tea party activists, and I have yet to met a single tea party leader that is not going to vote for Mitt Romney and work hard for him,” Mr. Cruz said on Fox News Sunday.

“Our country is in crisis, and we’ve got to stop this Obama agenda if we’re going to preserve opportunity for our kids and grandkids.”(continued)

Why should I be “zotted?”. Because I hold views contrary to yours?

Once again, please tell me how you’re different from the intolerant Left?

They [TEA partiers] will back Romney 100%. They are.....not irrational.

What on earth is rational about backing 100% the real author of ObamaCare, a guy who embraces the global warming scam, a guy who thinks it's right for the government to force adoption agencies to cooperate with homosexual couples who want to adopt kids, a guy who advanced on-demand tax-funded abortion, and a guy with a very solid record of appointing activist judges? Backing an agent of all those things 100% is rational for conservatives? Because of hysterical fear of a fraud like Obama? WRONG, p-shootist. It is desperate, THAT is what it is.

ABO is an affliction and I pray to God that conservatives get over it before November.

The election ballot should be choice of Giant Douchebag or a Turd Sandwich. That being said, Romney will get my vote for the sake of the country. If elections actually take place in Nov, we have to get Obama out, the country wont’ survive another 4 yrs of him.

I agree . He will win. And the ABO crowd will run like scalded dogs every time he goes full lib. Failure being an orphan.

As a Zionist I’d think a rational person would be sick of libs screwing over Jews. We know by his record that you can’t trust him so why should his stance on Israel be any different than his flips on the rest?

Rationally answer that. He has screwed everyone on BOTH SIDES for crying ot loud.

Willard does

False. He never said anything such thing...you append that on his behalf- it's not so; but fits your assessment of him

Gorush: If you think Romney will save us you

I was addressing this claim from gorush(who was speaking to another poster's assessment of Romney, not of MR's personal estimation....saviors save us by definition(no religious undertones need be assumed, btw), which no one has claimed, including MR; he is,tho, a politician who his making a case that he's the best guy for the job betwixt the two principals. It's what pols do.

No, remember how conservatives kept saying during the Reagan years “let Reagan be Reagan” because he moved to the left on some issues, and his Supreme Court picks were underwhelming.

You believe anything you read positive on romney. Imagine that - you were a LIBERAL all along!

See the things you learn about yourself when you back is against the wall? What’s inside comes out!

Well, good luck with the game of musical chairs or whack a mole. Turning a blind eye and supporting the enemy within never won a battle or war I’m aware of.

By fun, I mean it’s going to be interesting watching all the Romney bashers twist themselves in knots over a tea party favorite being so supportive of somebody they hate with a passion. Does this mean they would never support Cruz now? Because if he supports Romney clearly he can have no real conservative principles, right?

We are in a desperate battle to save our nation, and the enemy is in our wire. Some of you would rather shoot at the trees than at the onrushing enemy. Fascinating.

No one depicts Romney as Savior—
______________________________________

Oh gollies...

Willard does...

Hes told us many times that he “saved” the Olympics and to please let him “save” the United States...

But theres at least one big catch...

The way Willard was the “savior” of the 2002 Winter Olympics was to spend 50% again of our tax money as much as the guys originally running the show were spending...

When Willard was through he had spent 1.5 BILLION in 3 years..

Much of it on “stimulus” type frills for his cronies and not on the Olympics...

To “save” the US the same way Willard would have to increase our national debt by TRILLIONS more than Obama has it now...

Right now the national debt is $16 TRILLION..

If its the same in January and IF Willard was to win the White house by the time he left in 2017 he will have added another $8 TRILLION to our debt...at the least..

I owe the government $140,000 right now for my share..

Willard would make it $220,000 or more...

My “savior” he isnt...

Nor is he the3 “savior” of my country...

Though he likes to think he is...

Few are as strong as you - the rest are wimps tripped over themselves trying to bring you down to their level.

WEAKNESS hates STRENGTH - and EVIL hates LIGHT.

Expose/put the LIGHT on the POS Romney and his oath to his Mormon hierarchy which supersedes an oath to America - and watch the deceived numbskulls squeal!

Bring up his anti American accomplishments and the deceived run to throw a cover over it! It really is funny to watch!

I remember a number of instances in historical wartime of many soldiers following incompetent leaders to their deaths. Others did not and lived. Later they were held up as examples of intelligent thinking and their leaders got the grief they deserved posthumously. Now lest you think I am going to slam the military, I have a daughter and son in law in the USAF. I love the military.

That said, Soldiers follow orders. This isn’t a true military battle and Mitt/GOP isn’t your CO or XO.

So think for yourself. Or follow incompetent leaders into the obvious ambush. Your choice.

Kind of like the people who don't want to hear about Romney's record?

Kind of like the people who don't want to accept the fact that a third-party vote favors neither major party candidate?

Kind of like that? Like the ones who insist that a third party vote favors the incumbent, not wanting to hear about how it certainly failed to favor incumbent HW Bush?

Kind of like the people who believe so completely that "we couldn't survive another four years of Obama" that they don't want to hear anything different? Like the fact that a plurality win for Obama could well make him vulnerable enough that he could be impeached, the way Clinton was?

Kind of like that?

Conservatives are stubborn and stupid when it comes to winning. There will be three conservatives to split the vote, and of course, the Leftist wins. No doubt some of these geniuses still think they were smart to vote for Ross Perot, thus giving Bill Clinton the presidency for eight years. We are still reaping the rewards of that debacle as Hillary muddles her way through as Sec. of State.

“Kind of like the people who don’t want to hear about Romney’s record?”

They are aware of his record. Upthread we had one tell us Mitt was anti abortion.

Well that’s not his REAL record. But fear makes people believe all sorts of stupidity. I believe Stockholm Syndrome is on full display with the ABO crowd.

So his record is a good one and you EVIL STUPID PEOPLE just don’t understand.

Gorush was addressing not the Olympics but currently "saving us now" and, again, MR made no claims in that regard. Your are miscasting this probably by mistake.

And besides, yes, he will depict his record in the best light possible- they all do. He turned around the O-games and by the accts from nearly all observers did very well. He sells that...so? Accentuate the positive; tout your accomplishments. Salesmanship!

Anyway not trying to sway your thinking-don't care-not relevant; moreover, typing on this infernal phone and watching Olympics and need to refocus thusly, so will bid you adieu.

Take the beam out of your own eye before you tend to the splinter in ours, Dr. Spin Boy. You are willing to vote for a documented stone-cold author of ObamaCare and forcer of adoption agencies to cooperate with homosexual "married with kids" wannabees. THAT is cutting of your nose to spite your face.

You're advocating making the most powerful Republican and the most powerful American a guy who fully buys into the global warming hoax such that he advocated in 2008 that the world needs a carbon plan and that it should be a a "worldside solution, not an American one." Those chains of oppression laid down by a guy you VOTED FOR would weigh equally on us all, surrendering American soveriegnty over energy and food production and consumption, to a global body in the name of "saving the planet." If you don't really understand that Romney is an agent of all that and more, then you are of no use to your country.
