What is the best way to bring this up to the school Board??? My daughter is going into the 3rd grade this year. While looking up a supplies list on the school website my wife found that the schools 3rd grade site showed some projects that they should be prepared for this school year. Under the social studies tab it showed a project were the kids will dress up as one of the following people and do a report on that person. The list is in pictures on the website. Their choices are as follows.

Susan B. Anthony Paul Revere Frederick Douglas Mary McCoud Bethune Eleanor Roosevelt Thurgood Marshall Lyndon B Johnson Franklin D. Roosevelt Cesar Chavez

Also another project is to write a song or RAP about democracy.

I'm thinking private school.

Below is a link to the school. Northwest Elementary in Murray County Ga.

Have the kid dress as FDR and do a spiel about ordering Nimitz and MacArthur to kill more Japs and stack them up like cordwood. That’ll freak out the teacher.

Complain to the teacher about the short list of names, also note that it seems somewhat biased to you. Keep it polite and to the point. Ask him or her, why only these choices? Offer alternative additional names from across the the political spectrum.

Depending on his or her response, then take it to the principal and then the school board.

Sending kids to public school is child abuse obviously. Send them to private...who cares if you can’t buy a car every year or take that vacation every year. If you love your kids, you sacrifice.

Play smart, play friendly,...
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Don’t play! Remove your child and work to shut down our nation’s system of godless and socialist-entitlement schooling.

You might want to be real careful about LBJ. I read a book by, I think it was his press secretary that said that the steps were still going up on AF-1 and LBJ was already shucking all of his clothes.

And he met with others that way...

Dress her up as Ronald Reagan and tell them she preferred to come as a modern political hero instead of a socialistic narcissist.....that’ll ruin their day!!!

Cesar Chavez
“In 1969, Chavez led a march to the Mexican border to protest illegal immigration. Joining him were Sen. Walter Mondale and Martin Luther King’s successor as head of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, Ralph Abernathy.

The UFW picketed INS offices to demand closure of the border. Chavez also finked on illegal alien scabs to la migra. Columnist Ruben Navarrette Jr. reported in the Arizona Republic, “Cesar Chavez, a labor leader intent on protecting union membership, was as effective a surrogate for the INS as ever existed. Indeed, Chavez and the United Farm Workers Union he headed routinely reported, to the INS, for deportation, suspected illegal immigrants who served as strikebreakers or refused to unionize.”

Like today’s Minutemen, UFW staffers under the command of Chavez’s brother Manuel patrolled the Arizona-Mexico border to keep out illegal aliens. Unlike the well-behaved Minutemen, however, Chavez’s boys sometimes beat up intruders.”

When it comes to raising one’s kids, I LOATHE to jump in. But as a parent and grandparent, this one just doesn’t bother me. It’s a chance to learn some history and maybe teach the other kids a few things. This could be a real positive.

BUT ... to each his own. If it bothers you, talk to the teacher. Quite frankly, that always worked for me over the years. Perhaps I was lucky.

I would say that the real problem isn’t the “role models” they’ve chosen - disgusting as they are. The problem is that even if they had chosen Alexander Hamilton and Betsy Ross, this dressing up (I’m assuming accompanied by the reading aloud of a “report” - is a ridiculous waste of time. When I was in third grade we were learning long division, long multiplication, drawing maps of the continents and being taught about ancient Egypt. And being taught what a noun, verb, adjective, adverb, subject and predicate were. (Private school). Does your child know these, and will she be taught them this year? That is the issue you need to address.

If you’re seriously planning to run for a BOE position it will definitely help your cause to brush up on proper written English.

I’m an inner city public school teacher and here is what everyone is missing: The country is slowly moving toward a core curriculum, which means that all schools are teaching the same thing at the same time. In Ohio we have accepted the core curriculum, it’s common name, in almost all subjects. This means that regardless of the fit you pitch (rightly so), the excuse you will receive is, “It’s part of the core curriculmn and we have no control over it. You’ll need to complain to the Department of Education.”

You should question them as to why the list does not include Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Ronald Reagan, Sarah Palin, Clarence Thomas, etc. The dress up idea is not such a bad one, the problem is if all those on the list are government officials of a leftist bent. Of course as you suggested, this may be what you get in government schools.

Have your daughter pick FDR. Pick several books about his reign such as “New Deal or Raw Deal” or others that explain his progressive/communist leanings. Have her dress up as Uncle Joe Stalin who was his administration’s idol.

First, of all—tell the teacher that America is a Republic and all the Founding Fathers thought democracies were nothing but tyranny of the majority over the minority. They thought democracies were evil and always led to totalitarianism, like Athens. Why is she brainwashing children into thinking “democracies” are “good”.

The Founding Fathers were more afraid of democracies than monarchies. Tell the teacher she should be focusing on Republic and the importance of Separation of Powers and how evil Mob Rule/lynch mobs (democracies) are.

Ask if the children could dress up as Polybius or Montesquieu—or at least Washington, Jefferson, Madison or Adams( or Betsy Ross)-—some of the most brilliant people ever.

The only acceptable person would be Susan B. Anthony who was a true Feminist, but since the movement was infiltrated by the Communist Friedan—which destroyed the rights of women and the marriage contract-—young children will think that the “Feminist” group was good, which it was-—but the current one is run by women=hating and men=hating radical Marxist feminists who kill babies and want taxpayers to pay for promiscuous behavior-—so you don’t want your child that young exposed to such a thing—too hard for them to understand the political philosophy and they might be made to think that promiscuous, baby-killers who desert young children are “good”.

Ask her why all the other people she picked are communists and support ideas that would destroy all freedom for Americans.

Why would she support “Rap” music, which creates only rhythm which is mind-numbing-as opposed to Classical music, which makes the mind soar and challenges the intellect with all the harmony (mathematics) plus rhythm.

Purchase BK Eakman’s/Charlotte Iserbyt books-—the Cloning of the American Mind—or newer books on curricula.....Lays out the intentions of the public schools to brainwash young children and destroy logic and reason.

Make sure they have no Sex Ed in elementary school-—it destroys the innocence of your child and corrupts their normal sexual identity formation and makes them have less respect for their parents and the sex act. What they do is remove morality from the sex act and make it meaningless (they want them to be promiscuous and experiment—to corrupt Christian Ethics—so they will grow up to think homosexuality is normal and Sodomy is “good” and a “right”. It destroys logic and reason in little kids.

This book simply states why Sex Ed during latency period (6-12) is Evil:

Study the marxist Herbert Marcuse and his design of Sex Ed in our schools now to destroy Western Civ from within the culture—by destroying and corrupting the children. Sex is the easiest way to destroy the child’s Christian Worldview and eliminate God. Get “What’s Wrong with Sex Education? by Dr. Anchell in the library or book store—it is short and explains why children are damaged when taught about sex in groups by strangers in a classroom setting in the latency period. It perverts their worldview, embarrasses them which destroys the respect for the opposite sex (since they are different and kids want to be alike) and puts a focus on sex when they are emotionally way too immature, when there should be absolutely no interest or very little in sex at this time for normal sexual development.
