RomneyCare 2.0
Wall Street Journal ^ | August 6, 2012 | Staff

ObamaCare's illusions are starting to fall like autumn leaves, even among some liberals, and what they're discovering are things that have happened over and over again in Massachusetts. Beacon Hill "reformed" health care four years before Capitol Hill, and ever since it has reliably predicted the national trend—on surging costs, price controls, physician shortages and so much else.

So Boston's latest adventure deserves particular scrutiny, since odds are its methods are coming soon to a hospital near you. After more than a year and a half of debate, last week the legislature passed a far-reaching "cost containment" bill that Democratic Governor Deval Patrick is about to sign. It is the inevitable postscript to the model that Mitt Romney introduced in 2006.

— But hey that is what the “data” told him at the time.—

Here is the question: Did he learn from that mistake. i.e. is he telling the truth when he says his first priority as president will be to get rid of Obamacare?

—Willard’s actual wers were “Repeal and Replace”—

If he does them in that order, I’ll be happy. After the Omamacare debacle, “replace” will take a LONG time. Longer than the looters have.

In Sunday’s Commie Appeal fish wrapper:

Memphis BRACES FOR DOCTOR SHORTAGES (0’care)
http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2012/aug/05/memphis-braces-for-expected-shortage-of-primary/

Which means they will have to IMPORT foreign doctors in droves who may not meet USA Doctor standards having been educated to meet their country’s standards, may also have language issues.

You will be seeing your PCP’s PA more often than you see the doctor.

Still want to vote ABO rino romney, godfather of 0’care?

” - - - Sure enough, 79% of the newly insured are on public programs. Health costs—Medicaid, RomneyCare’s subsidies, public-employee compensation—will consume some 54% of the state budget in 2012, up from about 24% in 2001. Over the same period state health spending in real terms has jumped by 59%, while education has fallen 15%, police and firemen by 11% and roads and bridges by 23%.”

Just say it Romney: “I made a mistake. Government Monopolies are financial disasters. Socialized medicine at the State and National levels must be abolished, PERIOD!”

See the major differences between RomneyCare in MA and Obamacare on the federal level here.

And as far as doctor shortages, they are coming anyway (they are already here) for primary care docs...the foreign medical graduates will still have to pass our tests in order to get licenses just as they have to do now. However, there is NO QUESTION that bringing more patients--30 million or so--into a paid-for system will make things significantly worse.

But what Romney did in the most liberal state in the country cannot be compared to what Obummer did with arm-twisting and against the peoples' will.

And, for the record, I have never been a Romney guy...I was a Newt guy. However, on election day I will vote against the guy who is in the WH now w/o hesitation.

Mr. RomneyCARE inflicted RomneyCARE/ObamaCARE because
he hated the people in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Do YOU know what he did next?

Mr. RomneyCARE SOLD HIS HOUSE (and illegal alien
sanctuary actually) and FLED.

Mr. RomneyCARE cannot win. Not even in Mass.

That is the most important point.

Socialists, Democrats and Liberals are incapable of realizing that their articles of faith, like socialized medicine, are utter disasters, and should be discarded as ideas once they have proven in dozens of different times and places that they just don’t work.

Instead, they either go into frantic denial that they ever failed, or rationalize the failure as being a case of either insufficient funding, that the idea was not extreme enough or taken far enough, and/or that it was sabotaged by the dark forces of anti-socialism.

The Soviet Union, for example, insisted that collective farms *had* to be better than wage farms or private enterprise. So they always allocated it the best land and even most arable land, the most fertilizer and pesticide and other resources to a system that always resulted in minimal production and starvation.

Even when they had no choice but to give some land to wage farms, with just a tiny amount of black market private farming permitted, the communal farms produced just a fraction, the wage farms produced far more, and the little black market farms produced much more than either.

They held on to this article of faith for 70 years, until it all fell apart.

Has this convinced US socialists to try something other than communal farms? Not in the slightest. They still hope that someday American agriculture will all be communal farms. To convince them otherwise is as hard as trying to convince Muslims that Mohammed was just a tyrannical crackpot pedophile who no more had the blessing of God than does any other tyrannical crackpot pedophile.

And they also firmly believe in socialized medicine, and they don’t care how many millions have to suffer and die proving it doesn’t work, because they will still believe in it.

So, Mr. Romney, are you *able* to see that Romneycare failed? That it is not just in need of some minor maintenance to turn it in to “a great health care system”, but that it is fatally, and utterly a disaster that should be discarded?

Are you able? Or are you a true believer?
