If he was given a less than honorable discharge from the military, I don't believe he is allowed to purchase a gun legally.

This is also interesting-- "serving in psychological operations unit"

They must be so happy: he is not a muzzie, a minority, a homo, NONE of the protected groups (so far)

If it turns out he is a Republican too then I think they will need a change of underwear.

Why would you want him affiliated with any group, especially a national political party?

In Army psychological operations during the Clinton, Ruby Ridge-Waco-Oklahoma City-TWA years and perhaps brought back into the fold to continue programming under the Obama Regime.

I’m not sure if it is federal, state, or local law, but in Durham, NC, you are not allowed a concealed carry license if you have anything other than an honorable discharge.

Maybe some one here knows the law on owning or purchasing a gun.

Using the CBS criteria, a single enlistment, a BCD, and no apparent contact with the DOD for 14 years - how many other criminals qualify for their headline?

Doesn’t this make three that were supposedly working with/studying psychology: Ft. Hood, Aurora Shooter and this one?

What do they study in those departments anyway?

This guy was out of the military before 9/11, not sure if this has a mistaken identity aspect to it. (as in too stupid to know the difference between Muslims and Sikhs)

So, they’re categorizing this as domestic terrorism but the Ft Hood shooting as workplace violence. Got it.

Federal Register: Section 922(g)(6) of the GCA makes it unlawful for persons who have been discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions to receive or possess firearms. As ATF stated in Notice No. 839, the legislative history of this provision shows that the prohibition originally applied to persons discharged under ``other than honorable conditions.'' The Omnibus Crime and Safe Streets Act of 1968, Pub. L. 90-351, Title VII, sec. 1202(2), 82 Stat. 226 (1968). However, Title VII was amended by the GCA to limit the prohibition to persons discharged under ``dishonorable conditions.'' Therefore, the proposed definition provides that the prohibition applies only to persons discharged under dishonorable conditions, but not to persons separated from the Armed Forces as a result of other types of discharges, such as a bad conduct discharge or a dismissal.

To put it in civilian equivalences: A less-than-honorable is considered to be about a misdemeanor conviction, but a Duck Dinner (dishonorable discharge) is considered to be a felony conviction.

serving in the psychological operations unit...

1 shooter in psychological operations for the army, 2 in neuroscience labs in universities, one as a teacher one as a student, in the last couple of years....just a little strange. Begs the question, what are they messing with?

Are they using people as guinea pigs, or what? Forget the guns, they are a distraction from something much more nefarious. (that is according to my tinfoil hat beeber, though)
