OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBSDC/AP) — Authorities tell CBS News that the shooter behind the deadly massacre at the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin Sunday has been identified as 40-year-old Wade Michael Page.
Page previously served in the U.S. military, but was no longer on active duty, sources tell CBS News.
CBS News reports that Page enlisted in the Army in April 1992 and was given a less-than-honorable discharge in October 1998. He was last stationed in Fort Bragg, N.C., serving in the psychological operations unit.
The Southern Poverty Law Center told the Associated Press that Page was a musician in white power bands whose lyrics express hate against minorities and ethnic groups.
Mark Potok, spokesperson for the Southern Poverty Law Center, said Monday that Page had been on the white power music scene for more than a decade in bands including Definite Hate and End Apathy.

Well, that’s it. News broadcasters and journalists, spokespersons for the authorities, have informed us that the “shooter” is representative of all of us prior service members.
The answer is to bring back the draft, of course, because enlistments of clean-cut young men are going to dive. And the new, post-DADT officers will need plenty of new toys.

I think his military service is relevant, because the military apparently tossed him out. Tells you something.
Based out of North Carolina, End Apathy is the creation of Wade who previously has played with several US bands including Youngland. EA was his solo creation and over the years he wrote and recorded several songs by himself. This past year he hooked up with Brent and the Definite Hate guys and they have been jamming and recording. End Apathy has now played several live shows and their first recordings are also out now on the split 7" vinyl with Definite Hate released by Label 56 in February of 2011. I am very happy to be working with Wade and End Apathy as they have a great old school hardcore/punk sound to them and remind me a lot of the old California skate bands of the 80`s. I agree on the media. I think one of the media’s lowest blows yet is that they are headlining that he was a “Former US Military Member.”
It’s disgusting that they are using this as an implied attack on the US military. And that’s even aside from the fact he was discharged early and less than honorably from the Army over 14 years ago.

Wouldn’t it be just as accurate to say he served in the military under President Bill Clinton?

No...they just said that the FBI was seeking this person who was acting strange at a gathering after the shooting yesterday. He had tattoos of 911 too and was filming people with his cell phone.
Wonder if the officer used an ASSAULT WEAPON to stop this crime.

Wait a sec. Isn’t a less-than-honorable discharge equivalent to a felony conviction for purposes of firearm ownership, i.e., it disqualifies you from legal ownership?
