BIGLOOK has given you some sound advice.
When you contact them if you cna provide the Division/battalion/Company that he was in during WWII along with the rank that he held when he was discharge (got his Ruptured Duck Discharge emblem), that would help them help you. They may alsoask for his SSAN and/or his Service number.

Going up to the low 90’s today, then the rest of the week, temps are SUPPOSED to be normal to below normal (if you can believe the weather-guessers).

One place to look for his records is the National Archives; they have a web page that lets survivors of veterans order a copy of the DD214 and other records. The URL is http://www.archives.gov/veterans/
Once you find out what unit or units your father served in/with, you can possibly find web pages for them and discover others who may have some insight into your father’s service.
Good luck!

I knew someone with more knowledge than I could give you some leads.
If any of our many vets (or current troops) have any further info, please address it to Texas Tea. I'm sure she would be truly grateful!
Thank you guys!

Busy, busy, busy... Seems like life is just getting more hectic all the time. There’s more work to be done than there is time to get it done!
