Sikh temple shooting: Gunman had been on investigators' radar
LA TImes ^ | 8/6/2012 | brian bennet

WASHINGTON -- Federal investigators had “looked at” Sikh temple gunman Wade Michael Page more than once because of his associations with right-wing extremists and the possibility that he was providing funding to a domestic terrorist group, but law enforcement officials at the time determined there was not enough evidence of a crime to open an investigation, a senior U.S. law enforcement official said.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media, would not say Monday which law enforcement agency had considered investigating Page, or when.

There is enough strangeness to this that I think there is more to it.

Several witness have said there was more than one shooter; and that a couple of men had cased the temple I think the Friday before.

It stinks.

I certainly don't doubt the interest and intent of our friends in the Administration towards those ends. I just don't know how you would engineer such a thing.

It's no easy task to persuade someone to commit murder/suicide. Even the Iraqis often had to handcuff their 'volunteers' to the steering wheel so they couldn't change their minds.

I wouldn’t look at it that way. The way I see it, they are “watching closely” anyone that is 1) conservative and 2)owns at least one weapon. That is why the BrownShirt Media jumps in so quickly with “He was a white conservative Christian” meme. That is the one the are waiting so desperately for. Make no mistake, Big Brother IS watching and very closely, I might imagine.

Sikh’s.

The faith essentially ties together Bhakti Hinduism
and Islamic Sufism.

Sufism is Islamic mysticism.

Sufi Sikh’s practices:Prerequisites to practice
include rigorous adherence to Islamic norms (ritual
prayer in its five prescribed times each day, the fast
of Ramadan, and so forth).

They are also called Sufi Muslims.

But the media is reporting the citizens of the United
States ‘ confuse Sikh’s with being Muslim’...

in July 2006, specifically recognized the validity of
Sufism as a part of Islam.

YET, he sailed right through the background check without even a few days delay?

I understand that he had a 3-day wait per Wisconsin law.

So much for cooling-off periods. (I know, the libs would say it was not long enough)

associations with right-wing extremists

NAZIs are socialists.

"We are socialists, we are enemies of today's capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions" -- A. Hitler - 1927

“I hear he played in a punk band. What band is looking for a lead guitar player, a friend wants to know?”

I believe I read yesterday that the band he played in was called “End Apathy.”

The father of the man making the Sirius documentary was shot and died. This is the movie about UFOs. At the scene the son gave an interview. He said his father said there were multiple people involved. I think His father was still alive at that point.

It’s interesting that McVeigh -who claimed he had a chip implant- and Page had a connection to National Alliance.

How does Southern Poverty Law Center know that Page tried to buy goods from National Alliance??
