Home Invasion Thwarted by Quick-Thinking Home Owner (Video)(TX)

A home invasion was thwarted by a quick-thinking homeowner who managed to find his gun and shoot the intruder, who is now in police custody. The would-be robbery occurred in Plano on Tuesday morning. The burglar first pounded on the door in Plano, and presumably the thief figured that nobody was home, so he climbed onto the balcony and broke the window in order to gain access. The homeowner heard the glass shattering and went for his weapon and called 911. What would have happened if the homeowner was unable to defend himself against the thief? There will be no charges filed against the homeowner, thankfully.

That was Texas "in the night-time". The homeowner's actions were authorized under Texas law -- not just "no charges".

FWIW, that "Gather" website has the right editorial outlook, but the website design is lousy. Ads "creeping" across the page (consuming our bandwidth) -- and the "video" was just a blank space...

Good thing he “managed to find” his gun. Too many others have them locked up tight in the back end of the closet and the ammo in a separate room where they’d never be able to get to them.
