Big surprise, people don’t like his honesty if they disagree with his position. Unlike the Governmental Overall Director in the White House. Mitt has offered both an understanding that he doesn’t make the rules for the Boy Scouts and he still holds an opinion that differs from theirs. Even worse he is willing to admit that he holds a different opinion without feeling it necessary to legislate against them.
Oh, the horror.

Actually, ALL the people who want to put homosexuals into Boy Scouting are mentally deranged.

Oh, the horror.

A different opinion that is NOT conservative -that is a horror since he is running as a conservative.

HOWEVER, it is not shocking -I knew he was a panty waisted progressive RINO from day one.

And we as conservatives, and some of us as Christians are supposed to respect this?

It’s about his beliefs, Steamburg.

He BELIEVES in gay scouts and leaders.
He BELIEVES in gay couples
He BELIEVES gay couples should be able to adopt
He BELIEVES he shouldn’t publically support Chick-fil-A, but he should support this
He BELIEVES in bi-partisan gun legislation and said 2 weeks ago “that’s the kind of legislation I like.”
He BELIEVES Romneycare was just fine.
He BELIEVES in tax increases he calls “closing loopholes and increasing fees.”

“[I]f two people of the same gender want to live together, want to have a loving relationship, or even to adopt a child, in my state, individuals of the same sex were able to adopt children. In my view, that’s something that people have a right to do,”

No one, and I mean NO ONE, has the RIGHT to adopt a child. The ONLY one in an adoption with rights is the CHILD. It is the duty of the government to protect those rights. Please explain how this is done by purposefully denying a child either a mother or a father.

Does Romney support gay rights legislation outlawing discrimination against homosexuals in the workplace, entertainment industry, church, clubs and other private organizations? Of course he does.
Romney would sign legislation into law in a heartbeat that would prohibit the scouts and all other organizations from closing their membership and leadership to avowed, practicing, flaunting sodomite hooligans.
If he cannot admit that homosexuality is the sickest and most perverse of sin, he is a lost soul not worthy of my vote.

It’s not his honesty. It’s the fact that he’s a liberal. We got McCain again.

His Stake President isn’t going to be pleased, I would think, but I’ll bet Harry Reid’s is even more pissed.

Very good points: he covers both bases, like the moderate
he is. It is important at this point NOT to let issues like
this become top-heavy and get demagogued into allowing Team
Obama to gain the upper hand in the “Social Issues” realm.
You’ve got to pick your battles. I have no doubt Romney really believes what he is quoted as believing, and he’s managed to cover both bases “without even trying”.

Mitt is a lot of things, but honest isn’t one of them, lying is a way of life for him.

Big surprise, people don’t like his honesty if they disagree with his position.

Promoting homosexuality is the ONLY thing he has been consistent and honest about in his entire political career.

Claiming Romney, a man that flip-flops like Bill Clinton, is honest is the most absurd comment I have seen in quite some time.
