Rush read today from an article posted at The Blaze by someone who went to Columbia the same time Obama did and studied the same Pre-Law and Political Science majors that Obama did, yet he doesn’t remember Obama. And he has an shocking explanation why Obama won’t release his college records:

It’s a good thing the media devoted their resources to investigating Joe the Plumber’s trade license and the DNA of Palin’s Down Syndrome child.
Well, it’s about time Rush mentioned this. How long have we (FR) known about this? Hopefully now that the Big Guy has brought this up it will become viral everywhere. I can dream can’t I ?
Considering Obama seemed to think he could fabricate his background freely, as evidenced by his submission for his autobiography, it is not unreasonable to believe he would lay claim to being a foreign exchange student for the benefits it provides.
People like Obama see nothing wrong with lying if you are cheating the corrupt system he hates.
No wonder he's so skinny and anemic looking.
Team Romney should dig, dig, dig, and get their hands on this material (and more) as quickly as possible. Then, set up a presser where “Governor Romney will publicly release documents that people have been asking for” — and then deliver the Obama info to the media (who will think that he was talking about tax returns). What a $hitstorm that would be! and a lot of fun to watch.

Wayne Allyn Root on Obama at Columbia
RUSH: Wayne Allyn Root, a former Libertarian vice presidential nominee, the author of The Conscience of a Libertarian. He posted yesterday at Beck’s website, TheBlaze.com. Let me read to you excerpts from what Wayne Allyn Root wrote.
“I am President Obama’s classmate at Columbia University, Class of ’83. I am also one of the most accurate Las Vegas oddsmakers and prognosticators. Accurate enough that I was awarded my own star on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars. And I smell something rotten in Denmark. Obama has a big skeleton in his closet. It’s his college records. Call it ‘gut instinct’ but my gut is almost always right. Obama has a secret hidden at Columbia- and it’s a bad one that threatens to bring down his presidency. Gut instinct is how I’ve made my living for 29 years since graduating Columbia.
“Obama and his infamous strategist David Axelrod understand how to play political hardball, the best it’s ever been played. Team Obama has decided to distract America’s voters by condemning Mitt Romney for not releasing enough years of his tax returns. It’s the perfect cover. Obama knows the best defense is a bold offense. Just keep attacking Mitt and blaming him for secrecy and evasion, while accusing him of having a scandal that doesn’t exist. Then ask followers like Senator Harry Reid to chase the lead. The U.S. Senate Majority Leader appears to now be making up stories out of thin air, about tax returns he knows nothing about. It’s a cynical, brilliant, and vicious strategy. Make Romney defend, so he can’t attack the real Obama scandal.”
Romney’s not spent a lot of time on this. But nevertheless.
“This is classic Axelrod. Obama has won several elections in his career by slandering his opponents and leaking sealed documents. Not only do these insinuations and leaks ruin the credibility and reputation of Obama’s opponents, they keep them on the defensive and off Obama’s trail of sealed documents. By attacking Romney’s tax records, Obama’s socialist cabal creates a problem that doesn’t exist. Is the U.S. Senate Majority Leader making up stories out of thin air? You decide. But the reason for this baseless attack is clear- make Romney defend, so not only is he ‘off message’ but it helps the media ignore the real Obama scandal.
“My answer for Romney? Call Obama’s bluff. Romney should call a press conference and issue a challenge in front of the nation. He should agree to release more of his tax returns, only if Obama unseals his college records. Simple and straight-forward. Mitt should ask ‘What could possibly be so embarrassing in your college records from 29 years ago that you are afraid to let America’s voters see? If it’s THAT bad, maybe it’s something the voters ought to see.’ Suddenly the tables are turned. Now Obama is on the defensive.
“My bet is that Obama will never unseal his records because they contain information that could destroy his chances for re-election. Once this challenge is made public, my prediction is you’ll never hear about Mitt’s tax returns ever again. Why are the college records, of a 51-year-old President of the United States, so important to keep secret? I think I know the answer.
“If anyone should have questions about Obama’s record at Columbia University, it’s me. We both graduated (according to Obama) Columbia University, Class of ’83. We were both (according to Obama) Pre-Law and Political Science majors. And I thought I knew most everyone at Columbia. I certainly thought I’d heard of all of my fellow Political Science majors. But not Obama (or as he was known then- Barry Soetoro). I never met him. Never saw him. Never even heard of him. And none of the classmates that I knew at Columbia have ever met him, saw him, or heard of him.
“But don’t take my word for it. The Wall Street Journal reported in 2008 that Fox News randomly called 400 of our Columbia classmates and never found one who had ever met Obama. Now all of this mystery could be easily and instantly dismissed if Obama released his Columbia transcripts to the media. But even after serving as President for 3 1/2 years he refuses to unseal his college records. Shouldn’t the media be as relentless in pursuit of Obama’s records as Romney’s? Shouldn’t they be digging into Obama’s past —beyond what he has written about himself — with the same boundless enthusiasm as Mitt’s?
“The first question I’d ask is, if you had great grades, why would you seal your records? So let’s assume Obama got poor grades. Why not release the records? He’s president of the free world, for gosh sakes. He’s commander-in-chief of the U.S. military. Who’d care about some poor grades from three decades ago, right? So then what’s the problem? Doesn’t that make the media suspicious? Something doesn’t add up. Secondly, if he had poor grades at Occidental, how did he get admitted to an Ivy League university in the first place? And if his grades at Columbia were awful, how’d he ever get into Harvard Law School? So again those grades must have been great, right? So why spend millions to keep them sealed? Third, how did Obama pay for all these fancy schools without coming from a wealthy background? If he had student loans or scholarships, would he not have to maintain good grades? I can only think of one answer that would explain this mystery.”
And this, again, is Wayne Allyn Root.
“Here’s my gut belief: Obama got a leg up by being admitted to both Occidental and Columbia as a foreign exchange student. He was raised as a young boy in Indonesia. But did his mother ever change him back to a U.S. citizen? When he returned to live with his grandparents in Hawaii or as he neared college-age preparing to apply to schools, did he ever change his citizenship back? I’m betting not.
“If you could unseal Obama’s Columbia University records I believe you’d find that:
A) He rarely ever attended class.
B) His grades were not those typical of what we understand it takes to get into Harvard Law School.
C) He attended Columbia as a foreign exchange student.
D) He paid little for either undergraduate college or Harvard Law School because of foreign aid and scholarships given to a poor foreign students like this kid Barry Soetoro from Indonesia.
“If you think I’m ‘fishing’ then prove me wrong. Open up your records Mr. President. What are you afraid of? If it’s okay for U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to go on a fishing expedition about Romney’s taxes (even though he knows absolutely nothing about them nor will release his own), then I think I can do the same thing. But as Obama’s Columbia Class of ’83 classmate, at least I have more standing to make educated guesses. It’s time for Mitt to go on the attack and call Obama’s bluff.”

If Obama gained Indonesian nationality as a child and then later, as a young adult, he:
1. signed his name claiming status as an Indonesian citizen to an application for college or for financial aid, or
2. renewed an Indonesian passport or
3. did any other affirmative action that evidenced a clear and unambiguous intention to relinquish United States citizenship,
then Obama is likely no longer a U.S. citizen, under our laws as they were in effect in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
The reason Indonesian citizenship would cause such a legal problem for Obama is because Indonesia did not permit dual citizenship.
Therefore, if Obama affirmatively chose Indonesia citizenship, then he necessarily was evidencing an intent to relinquish his United States citizenship.
This would not necessarily be the case if the other country was one that allowed dual citizenship, such as Israel. If Obama was a US citizen and also an Israeli citizen, then by renewing an Israeli passport he does NOT necessarily relinquish U.S. citizenship, because his intent clearly could have been to be a citizen of both countries.
However, in the case of Indonesia, if Obama had taken an affirmative action to be an Indonesian citizen, then he cannot claim he intended to be a citizen of both countries, because Indonesia made very clear at the time that if you were an Indonesian citizen you could NOT also be a citizen of another country, so he would have known that by choosing Indonesia he was choosing one over the other, and not both.

I have a question, how could someone completely close all access to what is at some degree public records? Is this something only a POTUS could do? You would think that someone at Occidential, Columbia or Harvard would leak something by now. Maybe its waiting to be our October Surprise.
One thing a full GOP majority should do posthaste once elected, is pass a law making such records lock-down by any elected or government official open. Of course there are many many similar bits of legislation needed to prevent another “nobama” situation, but Sunlight is always a good deterrent for the likes of nobama and such could head off a lot.
Rush is rather late latching on to this one.
And not 2% of libs would care one bit if he did apply as a foreign student or if it were proven beyond a shadow of doubt that he was not Constitutionally qualified.

Trump also has the money and connections to pay off some janitor or other employee of Columbia to get the paperwork they need.

And multiple Social Security numbers.. Some people say ‘who cares’ but the whereabouts of our President during 1981 is vitally important if he’s lying about it and spent a year or more in Pakistan instead of ‘just the summer’.
Didn’t 0bama issue an Executive Order requiring that certain records of his be sealed?? I can’t recall the specifics.

Something does seem to be up today with the embargo on the subject of Obama's eligibility suddenly not in force with the conservative media. It'll be interesting to see if Mark Levin covers it.
Maybe the press should search out some affirmative action students who were enrolled in the remedial classes and ask them if they remember Barry.

Yep - the nightmare scenario in my mind is that BO/BS folds and admits his duplicity and Hillary! is coronated - just making the cutoff date for declaring her candidacy.

Bush's records were leaked to the New Yorker by someone at Yale. Gore's transcripts were leaked to David Maraniss of The Washington Post. Kerry's grades were in his Navy records, which he released to counter rumors about his war record.
One of Romney's report cards from school was likewise leaked by somebody to the press. McCain's actual grades were not made public, but class standing at Annapolis is public knowledge.
A lot of what happens is people do guess work. If Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar who got into Yale Law without affirmative action, or his wife was valedictorian or Romney was a JD/MBA at Harvard, people assume they got good grades.
Yes, I think Obama should release his academic records (and his health records), but his grades (or yours) aren't "public records," and it looks like nobody at Occidental, or Columbia, or Harvard is going to leak them.
By this point they're probably locked away from prying eyes. I doubt that Maraniss really wanted to see them either. He would have been afraid of what he might find.

Hee Haw, this tickles me. After all this obfuscation by conservative radio, some, who have never had the guts to touch Obama with a ten foot pole with regard to his phony life story are finally waking up. I heard Rush live and he really had little by way of comment on the issue. He more or less reported it as a news item, which is encouraging but it still leaves a lot to be desired. Rush more or less tippy toed around the issue, like he was walking on hot coals.
No doubt that he did.

Well, don't keep us in suspense, name the top 2 or 3 things wrong.
In 2008 Obama was hailed as the great orator and the mood was "anyone but Bush". Any dirt about him at that time would have been ignored by the media, and having McCain running didn't help.
Since then there has been time for some true digging and the country has seen how "well" things are going with Obama in office. Not all will take off the blinders, but this might be about the time to strike.
One term was bad enough, let's make sure it's not two.

This has been obvious for years.
Does anyone remember Obama being at Columbia, students, professors, administrators, people in dorms, or people who rent apartments for students, anyone? Did he ever scrimmage with anyone from Columbia, or buy a book at the bookstore, or go to the library? We know he was a lousy student, pothead, and deadbeat who hung with the gay crowd at Occidental College, or we think we know that, but how do we know he was at Columbia? I think his Columbia records are fraud, just like he is. Look at the people who worked at the registrar’s office, and someone who knew Obama is likely to have worked there. There will be something fishy about his transcripts.
We can keep on harping about Obama’s ineligibility all we want and as often as we want, but unless our spineless congresscritters investigate that charge, nothing will ever happen, and Obama knows it.
With this Congress he knows he is home free.
Unfortunately, all the people in the Columbia Registrar's office during Obama's attendance were in the same tragic bus accident scheduled for next weekend.

This is the angle Breitbart took - that Obammy is an American but that he lied about being a foreigner in his book bio for street cred. Bet he ‘lied’ in his college applications, too. That would be a crime.
