One could argue whether it saved more lives getting that war pointed in the right direction or getting the proper ROE.

Sometimes there are mutually exclusive decisions that have to be chosen between.

Yeah, let’s talk about “Bush’s Wars” some more... that’ll be good for some votes.

"Anyway, Mitt is NOT going to select a VP for fear that he might find himself standing in his/her shadow; team players or not..."

I was thinking he might Mormonize it and select 4 or 5 VP's.

Hey but at least we won't have "1st lady, 2nd lady, 3rd lady....."

Sure now we know better than General Petraeus. If only Newt had led the surge.

Well, FOZ was touting Paul Ryan as the current leading choice. Romney could do a lot worse, IMHO. Picking Ryan would clearly delineate the choice for voters between ruinous debt vs. fiscal sanity.

Petraeus works for Obama at the CIA.

Agreed, no go. Memories of GHWB.

Between his love for Shira and his carelessness with US soldiers, the globalists and their Mittens will probably love him.

Romney is considering Petraeus so his campaign can focus on competence and personal achievement as a theme.

This is in stark contrast to Obama’s “amateur” performance and Biden’s, well..., Biden-isms.

If Petraeus is picked before the democrat convention, expect Hillary to get the VP nod. Romney needs to head-fake toward TPaw or Ryan for a few more weeks to prevent this, otherwise, Biden will develop another aneurism and suddenly feel the need to drop out.

Obama should fear Hillary the most. If he is re-elected with her as VP, I bet all of Obama’s records will suddenly appear on wikileaks (or the conservative equivalent) and she will lead the charge to oust him via the 25th Amendment.

I can't answer the poll question because I don't know anything about Patraeus’ political opinions. He has a fine military record, but that doesn't guarantee conservative political views. Hasn't he presided over the revocation of don't ask, don't tell?

Need I remind anybody of Wesley Clark, Obama supporter Colin “he's black like me” Powell, John Kerry, Jimmy Carter, & many other Liberal former military men? A military career is no guarantee of a conservative political philosophy.

So, before we endorse this warrior, let's see what political positions he supports.

Petraeus is as much a politician as any other politician. The answer to the head is—No!

Petraeus is a social liberal and has been put into place to lose many wars by accomdating a timid (Bush) or anti-American (we all know who) president.

I don’t think he’s a bad person, but let’s say he’s politically manipulable. But, on the other hand, the Big General has got to go along with whoever put him in power. So I think he probably tried to rescue and protect our guys, but once he was under Obama, he was both disempowered and scared.

A “good VP” does not rescue a bad candidate, which Romney clearly is. I don’t care who Romney appoints, unless Romney swears to keel over after the announcement and hand it on.

We voted for VP the last time around and we all know how that worked out.

BTW, I’m a serious election volunteer. I’m a precinct walker, I’m poll watcher, I’m a vote counter, I do everything.

But not this time.

Patraeus is alleged to have attended the secretive ‘Bilderberg’ meetings for at least the past 3 years.

Riiiiight...Go back to ATS and claim "False Flag!!!" or something...
