US report criticises French Islamic veil ban

A wide-ranging US State Department report has criticised France and Belgium for passing controversial laws that prevent women from wearing full Islamic veils.

The US on Monday criticised France and Belgium for banning women from wearing face-covering Islamic veils in public, while warning of growing anti-Semitism and hostility towards Muslims in Europe.

The US State Department’s report on religious freedoms, researched in 2011 but released on July 30, 2012, warned that freedom of worship was being undermined across the globe -- particularly in China and Pakistan.

Commenting on the report, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that more than a billion people worldwide lived “under governments that systematically repress religious freedom.”

...

One French commentator, Socialist-supporting philosopher Henri Pena-Ruiz, said Hollande’s reluctance to change the law demonstrated that it had cross-party support while reflecting France’s longstanding attitude to religion...

“When France banned Islamic head coverings in schools [in 2004], many girls said that they didn’t want to wear them and that if head scarves were not forbidden, their brothers and fathers would force them to cover up."

“Clinton needs to think more about the emancipation of women. It is not as straightforward an issue as the State Department portrays.”

Not the opinion of the United States people. It’s only the opinion of Obama and Clinton. Personally, they don’t speak for us any longer.

Tha State Department pretends that it is giving America’s opinion, when it is not.

What gives the State Department the right to tell France what I believe.

The State Department should be broken in little pieces and it’s leader Hillary Clinton needs to be retired to somewhere , where she can do no more damage.

Hillary who pretends to be for womens rights is not for an Islamic woman’s rights, thats for damned sure.

If Hillary would wear a full face scarf she would be a lot easier on the eyes. Try it Hillary, see how you like it. A full face scarf on Hillary might make it a bit more difficult to kiss the Muslims on the buttocks, something Hillary gets better at every day.

Why can’t I wear a mask in public in many cities?

All people should start wearing Muslim face covering when driving to avoid camera issued tickets.

And all people should hang gas filled spare tires on any cameras near them while wearing the same. Like they do in the UK, search the net for “burning gatso”.

Sharia works both ways.

This is why we should not support the government protecting religion. At some point, it gets taken over by the left which then protects Islam.

What do you expect from a US State Dept when the Sec of State has a top asst tied to Muslim Brotherhood?

Islam is Intolerance, and we all should be scared when very left wing nations like France and Belgium recognize the Islamic threat more than our US government does.

Hillary and the State Dept need to drink a big ole cup of STFU. Everytime I see her in her headscarf in some third world Muslim S@#thole I could throw up. What is the Secretary of State of the USA doing kowtowing around in a head scarf and that goes for The Wookie too. I never saw Condi wearing that junk.

Of course. Shoot, we all know we have a Muslim in the White House and a bunch of Black Muslims in power because of him. They’d love to see sharia in this country.

God forgive me for how much I loathe these creatures.

We should respect the quaint Islamic custom of killing all Infidels?

And lying your head off to sucker the enemy is OK.
