My thoughts exactly.
Notice it took very little time for the company to fire him. That is an indication that his HR file was already full of negatives, and this nasty incident just gave them ammo so they could pull the trigger.
It’s a good bet he acted like a jerk at work, too. His days at that company were most likely numbered before he drove to Chick-Fil-A.
The funny thing is, I know a few people like him, myself.
If you want to know something else funny... THEY are Liberals TOO!
Hmmmm!
More to the point. Why didn’t the prick that verbally assaulted Miss Elizabeth get out of his car and go in the store to do what he did? He showed he had none of what makes a man a man by staying in his car so he could flee the scene of the crime. He could have manned up and do that but he didn’t. This was nothing more than a drive-by shooting except no one was killed. The only casualty was his job, which he was fired from. Cowardly a**hole. She, BTW, was great through the entire thing.
Just curious is Elizabeth her middle or last name? Great interview.
Tucson is like that. A lot of smart people working in low end jobs because the town has had Leftist clowns from the University dominating the city government, retarding development.
So you have convenience stores being staffed by people with Bachelors degrees.
Phoenix, by contrast, started a bold business development group in 1960 called the Phoenix 40, a group of men who not only invested themselves but brought in enormous investment to Maricopa county over the next 30 years.
The results are staggering. From a couple hundred thousand people in the late 50's, Phoenix is now a massive center of industry with a population of 2.8 million or so.
Tucson, of course, is still a bit of Democratic party stronghold. People are poorer there, and the Dims keep them that way.
The interview actually started a a couple of minutes before this clip I found did and in the beginning Varney said she wants to keep her last name off the TV.
You know how the crazies are.
Has the President called her to see if she is ok?
BTW, I saw on another FR thread some negative comments regarding the Internet postings by Rachel's boyfriend.
Each of my three girls got their first jobs in high school at our local Chick-Fil-A. Friday night dates for the Mrs. and I used to be eating at Chick-Fil-A especially during the brief couple of years when all three were working there.
Each one of our girls has gone on to graduate from college and enter the workforce as a productive member of society. Part of the reason is how CFA trained them to treat their customers. Even the jerks.
In fact, his company dumped him the afternoon all this came out. Says to me that this wasn't the only occurence of behavior of this nature.
The only casualty was his job, which he was fired from.
Wasn’t aware of the job loss. Maybe he will think twice about the desperate need to be on You Tube next time.
Sure but she did better on TV than you would have.
Think about this, he taped this and then after watching it he still posted it himself thinking it would help his case. How stupid and narrow sighted.
How long did it take before he realized that nearly everyone sympathized with her (probably many gays too) and he made himself look like a crazed nutcase who stalks Innocent victims?
This is a rare case where I see the glass full.
OK, you get the award for the best laugh sarcasm comment on this thread. That was really good.
re: Has the President called her to see if she is ok?
No, you have to have the character and charm of a Sandra Fluke for that to happen.
To paraphrase Mark Twain slightly:
“Tucson for weather, Phoenix for society.”
(A one-time Phx immigrant here.)
She was the defense, the offense took the field the minute Adam Smith posted the video.
The whole thing played out perfectly.
Plus I haven't heard much about the homosexual community coming to his defense and rescue.
He was at a drive thru window, so he probably would have done the same thing. Cowards are all alike, you can see them at work here at F.R. every day, hurling their invective while hiding under the cloak of internet anonymity, saying things they would not dare say to another's face. Cowards, one and all.
