Was on the phone just now talking to a vender in Anaheim when he interrupted to say they were having an earthquake. Same area as yesterdays.

USGS Map shows a bunch of little ones in the past half hour. Original one upgraded back to 4.5 magnitude.
Dunno about any of you “Callies” out there, but I’d sure as heck stay away from that fault intersection roughly centered between Cajon Pass, Pomona, Riverside and San Bernardino(?)....looks like one massive train wreck disaster waiting to happen. Hey, here’s an idea. Build the state capitol buildings there.

In 1989, I was at a government conference that was held at SRI (Stanford Research Institute - breakaway from Stanford) in Palo Alto. The quake hit in the large room we were in - I got under a doorway but got pushed out into a hallway from the other people wanting to ‘get under the doorway’....as I stood in the hall, I watched all the books, bookcases, etc. topple out into the hallway from the offices up and down the hall.
When it subsided some, I went down the nearest stairwell, noticing the inch-wide cracks from ground to roof in the cement block building. Spent that night in a lights-out hotel there, then flew out a couple of days later after the meeting was over. My earthquake detector for the remaining nights? I put an ashtray balanced on a beer bottle, and kept the 2nd story window open.....

Rattle pretty good in Chino, about the same as the one last night felt. I was on the phone with family whom are in Brea as well, she was pretty shook up.

Next time you use the word “Redneck,” (not saying you did here) think about it. The comedians in California and on TV seem to think that includes the entire contiguous portion of the United States that is south of the Mason-Dixon line. It is disgusting.
