Heard him in concert at Humphries years ago in San Diego and tears just poured from my eyes the whole time. Couldn’t help it. What a powerhouse.
He came onstage and is very short, but tells about the time an elderly woman met him once and said “I’m so glad to meetcha, but where’s the rest of ya?”

For those who are not country fans, Randy Travis was about as good as it got in the mid to late 1980s (just before Garth & Co. came on the scene). He racked up something like a dozen number one hits in a four year period and up until a few years ago was putting out gospel albums. He had his last number one hits back in 2003 with "Three Wooden Crosses" (a gospel song) which was one of the biggest country hits of that year.
He always did have a wild side to him. He was a juvenile delinquent who shacked up with a woman 16 years older than him (she became his manager). They were divorced a couple years ago and evidently that was when he became unhinged yet again.

My sympathy goes out to you...10 years of sorrow and pain for the whole family....I sure understand how you feel. There are some worse things than living for many people and I have seen the heartache that the family's go through..Bless you and yours and have a great weekend...
