RFK Jr. said wife called him day before NY suicide

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) -- Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told a detective that on the day before his wife hanged herself, she called him to say "everything was her fault."

"She told me that she was sorry for everything. ... She said that I was right about everything," Kennedy said in a statement that was part of a police file released Wednesday.

Kennedy's wife, Mary Richardson Kennedy, hanged herself May 16 in a garage on their Bedford estate. The statement from her husband - son of Sen. Robert Kennedy and nephew of President John Kennedy - was given the next day, the documents show.

Much of the file was blacked out before being released, and it was not clear what Mary Kennedy was referring to by "everything."

When she died, the Kennedys were in the midst of a divorce and custody battle. They have four children.

An autopsy report showed Mary Kennedy had antidepressants in her system.

Her death sparked a battle between Kennedy and his wife's siblings, who tried to take control of her remains and held their own memorial service. Kerry Lawrence, an attorney for the siblings, was on vacation Wednesday and could not be reached for...

"She said that I was right about everything"

I'm skeptical that's a phrase that has ever been uttered by a wife about her husband over the entire History of Man.

Even if true, it's just as damning to the Kennedy freak.

she called him to say "everything was her fault."

O really? That's sure sounds like something a terrorized, hopeless, and completely demoralized vacant-shell-of-her-former-self victim of spousal abuse would think.

He probably made it up though to make himself look good. FAIL.

"She told me that she was sorry for everything. ... She said that I was right about everything,"

Gosh, I say that kind of thing all the time, along with agreeing that everything is my fault. However, I don't plan to hang myself ... maybe I'll just take the baby and the credit card and head for the airport. Nyah nyah nyah, I speak Spanish and you don't!

Poor lady. I saw at Walmart the other day that Taylor Swift is seeing a Kennedy. I asked my son where he placed her in the Dead Pool, but he didn't get it.

The phone call probably went something like this "I just can't bear the thought of a long car ride and I don't think I'm up for flying either;; it kills me to think of it."

Boats, planes, trains, and automobiles.......no it's not a book; it's a list of transportation crashed by Kennedys.

Been there, “confessed” that.

Still not completely recovered.

Sadly, you’re probably right.

Back then, the *only* thing that kept me defiantly sucking air was the worry about what would happen to my dogs if I were gone.

I sure as hell didn’t want *him* to get hold of them so I kept fighting to stay alive.

So far, so good.

FWIW, to hear the tales he tells when he thinks I won’t hear about it, he’s a saint and I “deserved” every beating.

These toxic, vile personalities have a certain signature, don’t they. The costs of being able to read the signatures can run pretty high, as I don’t need to explain to you. You understand.

This heinous goon sure has a bizarre need to “quote” the deceased woman [who can’t refute his statements]. What did he do and say to her (and about her) that wasn’t public? Shudder.

The Kennedys pride themselves on their manufactured do-gooder public service persona, but up close and personal they destroy people.

God is not mocked.

Oh wow. I was in that very garage about 20 years ago when I read meters for the local utility. RFK came to the door and let me in there to the meter. I was subbing for another reader and never went back there again.

What a waste.

Hearing that lie come out of that losers mouth in that awful sounding voice he has would make me want to arrest him right there if I were a Police Officer taking his statement. Some one that would say that is obviously guilty of driving the poor woman to suicide, if that’s what it was. So now his kids can grow up knowing dad said “mom said everything was her fault, not dads before killing herself”. Disgusting.

That's pretty creepy. :-/

The strangest case of Kennedy cognitive dissonance was Ted's campaigning for the Won... as a champion of "change"! I mean WTH? Ted was the quintessential poster punk for DC's deep-rooted culture of corruption and legislative abuse and depravity.

I suppose as long as fools will believe the lies, lies are the means to the end. After all, "That which advances our agenda today" is the working definition of truth for totalitarians and their fellow believers. Thus as far as RFK Jr. is concerned, he's telling the truth.

You and your grandfather might think differently if you read the bio on Joe Kennedy’s eldest son, Joseph P. Kennedy, II. He served in the Navy during WWII and flew on several dangerous missions in Europe and, sadly, he was killed when his plane exploded over the Bay of Bengal. His remains were never found.

The police need to do some serious detective work on this case. The more I read about it the more suspicious I get. I seriously hope they are investigating RFK’s whereabouts on that day. I would not be surprised if it turns out he had something to do with her death. He had a motive-—he didn’t want to lose his money and wanted the house back for himself. Plus, it is rare for a woman to hang herself. Why would she suffer when she had access to pills to put her to sleep? Plus, she was a mother to young children. Most women wouldn’t want to leave them motherless.
