That ad features a man claiming that after Bain Capital closed his steel plant, he lost his job and his insurance, and shortly thereafter his wife died of cancer. This is not entirely true. Their campaign has so far been a three legged stool-sell socialism from the bully pulpit, lie about the Obama record, and smear Romney.
Could it mean then, that the Roanoke speech, now famous for "you didn't build that", marked the Obama campaign's abandonment of their attempts to sell us more socialism? It was by far their biggest backfire.
Will we see no more shilling for Marxism from Obama? Is this all they have left, lie about the Obama record and smear Romney?

I don't. It puts the Dems within the margin of error for voter fraud. This VP business is sucking all the oxygen out of Romney's campaign. He needs to make a good, safe choice right now and then hit Obama hard with powerful ads. There's nothing negative you can say about Obama that can possibly be untrue, so it's time to get down and dirty.
If Romney is going down, then he needs to go down fighting. This mustn't be a replay of 2008, with the entire campaign about the VP choice and the candidate himself an ineffective milquetoast.
