There's not a lot of call for my craft right now.
Petrochemical work is somewhat seasonal and unless you're an ass kisser, a friend/relative or get hired on as maintenance somewhere you have to save your money and wait patiently for quarterly money to kick in.

Are you sure those were the words she used or are you putting words in someone else's mouth. "Thinking" someone is something and "knowing" someone is something are two vastly different things.

I've got several job skills but I've mentioned many times over the years I've been here that I'm not a lawyer. She simply may not have ever seen such postings and she made a conclusion, even though erroneous, based upon my exhibited behavior.

Having said that, not being a lawyer doesn't stop me from thinking or writing like one, does it?
Do you assume I've no lawyers as friends with whom I've never interacted with or learned from over the years?

Here's a hint...a craftsman makes between $25.00-$28.00 an hour these days around here.

A better question might be, why would a person who claims to among the top 90% of his peers, but can't find work, spend so much time on FR everyday, instead of getting a job and making some money?

You know, you don't deserve an answer, but I'm going to give you one anyway.

As is documented here on FR, I messed up both of my rotor cuffs (#149) at the same time.

Through diligent physical therapy at home I'm finally healed. My old foremen are either dead or retired so it isn't a matter of simply picking up a phone and asking when is the next job.
And I'm not costing the taxpayers a damn thing. It's called savings! (though that is almost gone now after such a prolonged period of unemployment)
I don't get workman's comp because I didn't realize what happened at the time and I didn't report the injury. If I were an unscrupulous ass I could have gone in to work the next day and faked the injury then, but I'm not that way. I didn't report it so I bit the bullet.

So why don't you take your sick, pathetic insinuations and stick 'em where the sun don't shine.
