A retired Navy captain is asking Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell to support adding marriage equality to the GOP platform. McDonnell chairs the committee that will propose a platform at the national convention in Tampa later this month.
Retired Navy Capt. Joan Darrah, in a letter to McDonnell, said the freedom to marry is in keeping with the party’s ideology.
“If given the opportunity, we will testify in support of the inclusion in the Republican platform of both the repeal of the so-called Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), and the right of same-gender couples to marry and for those marriages to be recognized by our federal government,” Darrah wrote.
“Quite simply, these objectives correspond with the ideals of the Republican Party – opposition to government intrusion in people’s lives and a modern military that supports all service members and their families.”

Just about anybody can "call for" just about anything and it means nothing.
Let’s see...the Captain’s period of active-duty service began well before “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” during the days when recruits were questioned on their sexual identity and being gay was grounds for dismissal from service. I’m guessing the Captain lied back then, so she’s guilty of fraudulent enlistment (at a minimum). Too bad we can’t bring her back to active duty, charge her with that crime under the UCMJ and collect hundreds of thousands of dollars in active duty and retired pay that she has received improperly.
Funny how that little legal technicality never makes its way into stories like this one.

So why not go ahead and put in their platform what they stand for. For that matter, they could copy the democrats platform.

Romney supported the proposed Constitutional Amendment in Massachusetts defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman. This is an easily verifiable fact.
The Massachusetts Supreme Court's specious "interpretation" of the state constitution is the reason "gay marriage" is the status quo at this time. (Goodridge vs. Dept. of Public Health) The 80% Rat legislature obstructed the Constitutional Amendment vote in order to allow the supreme court's "gay marriage" interpretation to stand in MA.
The effect of the MA Supreme Court's ridiculous interpretation of the state constitution regarding "gay marriage" is an exact parallel to the current legal situation in regard to Obamacare. We need the Congress to overthrow Obamacare or we are stuck with John Robert's court's bizarre ruling, and in MA, action by the legislature was necessary to prevent the supreme court's ruling from remaining the final word on the subject. Unfortunately, the Rat legislature, with their obstructionist tactics, chose to trample the citizens' right to vote.
It's within the realm of possibility that the state constitution could be amended in future under a less corrupt legislature.

Just curious, but is the Navy ahead of the other branches of Service in terms of advocating open homosexuality in uniform? It was Admiral Mullen who also pushed the queer banner in everyone’s faces.
Go for it. In fact the GOP should just merge with the Democrats. There’s not enough difference to justify the existence of two parties.
I favor immediate firing of any person in the Republican Party who ever uses the words inclusion or diversity favorably in the current political context. Maybe if they’re talking about food, and that’s about it.

Well, yes it is about the destruction of language and meaning in Western Civ—so words like”marriage” will be destroyed and meaningless, so the Marxists can control the thoughts of all children (Create their proper Worldview). Textbooks (like in CA marriage licenses will no longer be allow words like wife or husband or mother or father to be used for textbooks. Nor “partner” because actually marriage will be between Party A and Party B and eventually C,D, E, F etc-—either males, females, or both. It won’t mean anything. And children will be able to be like objects, used in negotiations, and given out like birth control pills—or the State will raise them. Biology is meaningless.
Marx hated God (religion) and the natural family. The family unit is essential for emotional health of children so they become independent and emotionally secure—but those type of people are to be eliminated because they are dangerous to the Power that be.

To establish Sodomy (a Vice) as a Right-—we also eliminate Reason from the Law. Right Reason according to Just Law is the understood rationality that was essential for ALL LAW in the US. Reason does not exist with Sodomy which is not only unnatural—it is an impossible concept—two men can never be one flesh—and ALL American legal dictionaries defined marriage as one woman and one man.
How can a group of people with such a warped, evil way to see human beings—get to decide a “NEW” Ethical system based on Vice is Good??????

Law has to contain Reason and be in line with Natural Moral Law-—not the irrationality of Marx.
