Do Greens Have A None-Of-The-Above Energy Policy? (Green Hypocrites)
IBD ^ | aug 8, 2012 | JOHN MERLINE,

Two environmental groups in April filed suit to block an energy project they said would seriously harm the local ecosystem.

It wasn't a coal plant, or an oil refinery, or a nuclear reactor. It was a wind farm — the very sort of "clean" energy environmentalists champion as an alternative to dirty traditional supplies.

But the Portland Audubon Society and Oregon Natural Desert Association say a wind farm on Oregon's Steens Mountain, along with needed access roads and transmission lines, would threaten eagles, sage grouse and bighorn sheep and call it the "antithesis" of "responsible renewable energy development."

Also in April, an appeals court took up a lawsuit seeking to stop a 399-megawatt, 3,200-acre solar power plant in Panoche Valley, 130 miles southeast of San Francisco. Environmentalists say it will harm the endangered blunt-nosed lizard and kangaroo rat.

"No one disputes the necessity for solar energy," the green groups' attorney told the court, but "it is improper on this site."

Environmentalists are openly hostile to oil, coal and nuclear energy. And while some had backed natural gas as a "bridge fuel," opposition has soared as a U.S. supply glut makes gas far cheaper.

But national and local environmental groups are fighting to block or delay many solar plants, wind farms, hydropower and biomass plants and other forms of "clean" energy, along with new transmission lines needed to bring that energy to customers.

The effect, observers say, is to slow green energy growth. Even if renewable production rose at three times the overall energy output pace, it would still make up just 16% of domestic supplies by 2035, from 10% now, according to the Energy Department.

The greens are suing wind and solar project, and everything else.

Greens are anarchists who hate humans and worship the Earth. Their policies are geared toward smaller families and very expensive fuel and consumables. They also hate it if regular people trespass on their government sponsored camp grounds - otherwise known as wilderness areas. They are the self appointed guardians of the Earth - meaning they are stealing land.

Obama's Science Czar John Holdren advocated putting sterilants in water to stop population growth - talk about a war on woman. How about mentioning that.

Wonder how much these enviro-nazis are being paid by the gummit? How about they turn off their own power and leave the rest of us alone.

Pray for America

Greens always support wind and solar power - unless someone actually tries to build it. Of course they themselves always use electricity - they apparently think it appears by magic.

Paul Elrich said it worst....

Giving humanity a cheap clean limitless energy source would be like giving an idiot child a machine gun.....

Elrich and Holdren need to breathe vacuum for a few hours, it would do the gene pool a world of good.

If you live in a solid blue state, then please vote Green Party.

Their ideas are so wacky and fascist that the lefties who are disappointed with the "conservative" policies of Obama will splinter off if they see that the Greens have a chance.

We need to counteract the illegal immigrant vote.

We need to give the liberal fascists a reason to hope...

for the Green Party.

“Greens are anarchists who hate humans and worship the Earth.”

Some of them, yes, but most of the Greens are just ignorant as hell. They get their info from MSNBC & National Geographic, which means they get only half the story.

It didn’t take a rocket scientist to predict that huge wind turbines would be bird & bat grinders, or that broiling hot solar farms would cook any animal in close proximity.

The Greens will never wise up, but they will be embarrassed into silence as their ideas are shown to be not just stupid, but extremely harmful to the environment.

Now they learn that NO energy device is “clean.” Energy is bad. We will now move to a no-energy economy (NEE). Possession of illicit energy or energy conversion devices will be punishable by removal of energy from the perps body until it ceases to function.
