Liberals upset with Barack Obama’s few compromises with the GOP have a new moniker for the president many consider the most left ever: “Deeply conservative.”
Academics and liberal pundits have started talking about Obama as right-of-center politically just as he has begun to reach out to independents and moderates in his reelection campaign.
Some are true critics who wish he would do more for labor and welfare recipients and implement tougher carbon limits on coal plants. Others are trying to portray Obama as a middle-of-of-the-roader attractive to moderate voters, not the liberal Mitt Romney attacks daily.
The latest claim that Obama’s a conservative is being made by pundit Paul Street and University of Illinois political professor Anthony DiMaggio in a long review of the Tea Party in the influential journal Critical Sociology. In it they call Obama “deeply conservative” and eager enough for victories that he “caves in” to the GOP.
“Obama cannot stop readily accommodating,” they write. “We are familiar by now with the standard liberal defense. The president, an all to persistent story line goes, is a progressive, left-leaning man of liberal instincts boxed in by cra-a-a-zy Tea Partiers who ‘took over the Republican Party’ and left him no choice but to shift rightward to get something done. This narrative ought to be understood as embarrassing and nonsensical,” the duo wrote in the latest edition.
They also called him “supposedly liberal” and “center-right,” prompting one longtime conservative activist to compare efforts to paint Obama as a conservative to former President Bill Clinton’s rush to the political middle in order to win reelection.

The polls run by the MSM are close because they are weighted +19 dem. The real internal polls show obastard getting blown out.

If you take all the political rhetoric away and look at the record in its purest form, Obama in terms of social policy(gay marriage, abortion) is the furthest left of any president ever, his welfare state policies make him the most left-wing president since LBJ, and his foreign policy is so liberal, he makes Jimmy Carter look like a neo-conservative.
He gave the illegals amnesty through imperial fiat, he has put two far left kooks on the US Supreme Court and appointed far more in the lower courts, he went on apology tour around the world and promised the Russian president he would disarm the US in his second term, he legalized gays in the military, he has appointed far-left radicals to his cabinet, he nationalized the student loan industry and took over the health care.
Obama is not a liberal, but a full blown Marxist inspired leftist who despises this country and constitutional government.
I hope you’re right. I don’t trust any poll 100% but I fear seein Obama ahead in ANY poll.

Obama’s not the only one. Alan Grayson is down here in Florida running as a tax cutting, small govt., constitutional, Ron Paul conservative. If I had not seen the ad myself, I would not have believed anyone trying to tell me about it. I have not been able to find it online or I would have started my own thread making people aware of this.
The dems and RINOs can run their deceitful mouths all they want about the TEA party and conservatives being a dying force but as long as even the worse of these libs, Marxists and socialists continues to turn conservative for election cycles, I know that the conservatives have real power.
It still makes me sick knowing that as rotten and deceitful as the democrats who do this can be, the GOP has its own great pretender leading the pack and he has years and years of practice doing it. They are all counting on the voters being stupid. They could very well turn out to be correct in their assessment.

What you do not take in to consideration is that there are way too many dummies out there who believe just about anything they are being told and their numbers are not getting any smaller.
After a few days of media attention to this, their next assignment, Obama will become Ronald Reagan and the Founding Fathers. Romney will become Stalin, Lenin, and Mao, and accused of killing tens of millions of people.

Languagecide. Their solution to everything is to rebrand and change the name, but never, ever do they consider changing what is inside the package. Liberal used to mean what Conservative now means, before they were Progressives, they were Liberals and before that they were Progressives. Notice that whatever word they use to describe their beliefs becomes sullied.
If conservative is now defined as ‘a to-the-left-of-Karl-Marx America-Hating Islamic homosexual’, then yes, I agree, Obama is conservative.
