She can try to spin it any way she likes. I saw cars full of Black, and Hispanic people in line next to me when I was going through the drive-thru. This was at Sunset and Highland in Hollywood, California.
I’ll be frequenting that location at least once per month from here on out.

The Coral Springs CFA is still as crowded as ever, and there are a lot of Black People, Hispanics, LEOs, Paramedics, Bikers, families, teens, elders, etc.
A very “diverse” group.
It was 13.5 miles from my home. That’s 27 miles round trip. But it was worth the drive. :-)
In Colorado we stood in line two hours, the cars were lined up for a mile I am sure.
Every color and size was there.
I talked to a person in line and asked why he was there, he said “freedom of speech”. He went on to tell me that he completely disagreed with the statement about traditional marriage, he supported homosexual marriage but that no one should be pressured by the government to retract their statements.
Here in Indianapolis it was heartening to see several black families interviewed on support CFA day saying how they support the biblical definition of marriage.
Shown on several local tv stations, shockingly....
If they think those people are “rednecks” then they’ve never been within 10 miles of a redneck! BTW, rednecks are a good part of who built this country that the froot-loops who made this video enjoy today. I wish they would go overseas and see what the third world is like before they criticize the greatest country ever raised up by man. They have no idea how good they’ve got it here, even today with Obama’s severe recession and all the other problems.

I can walk out to my balcony and see the mountain range above and inland from Malibu. I would suspect it’s rather warm down there today, 75-80s or so.
It’s been relatively warm here inland, 90 to 105.
Actually, I just took a look and the inversion layer has limited visibility to about five or six (clearly) of the thirty-five miles or so out to that mountain range.

Yes, Tom had the Cuckoo’s Nest Top Fuel hydro. They held one or two exhibitions on the Columbia River just a mile from here but had to discontinue due to an eddy in the river (real exciting at 200+). I was a customer of Mr. Wright’s motorcycle shop and a fan.

For that matter, there are some great places to eat in or near Malibu too.
I first saw a drag boat race in the late 60s at SkiLand in Perris, CA. and I was hooked. My friends and I would travel anywhere to see them. I saw Smoke on The Water break the 200mph mark at Long Beach Marine Stadium. I saw that same boat crash at Irvine Lake years later. Lake Ming in Bakersfield was one of my favorite venues. I have many good memories connected with that place and with racing.
That's the one thing I really miss about So. Cal is the restaurants.
I used to get into discussions with Burbank Karl regarding some of the really good places that were around in the 70-80's and are no longer there.
Come to think of it, I haven't seen Burbank Karl around here for a long time....hope all is well with him.

With regard to the places that catered to the middle-class people who used to live here, their base now lives in points east. It’s with a great deal of sorrow that I view this place today. I remember what it used to be.

I went to a Sears on the corner of Van Nuy’s Boulevard and Roscoe about five years ago. The signage was in Hispanic lettering about 5” tall, with English subtitled below in about 1.5” lettering. One of the people who worked there, warned me not to remain there after dark. That is where Adrays used to be. It was a very busy middle-class store, doing a massive volume in sales.
Van Nuys Boulevard looks like you took modern buildings, moved out all Caucasians, and moved in the inhabitants of Tijuana, after issuing each of them a shopping basket they could stroll the streets with.
I use to cruise that boulevard in the evenings. Now it’s a source of deep sorrow even to think about.

I know exactly what you mean about the areas you wrote about, they were all nice, middle class areas and have since been run over.
Even where my Mom lives in Northridge, is getting to be the same way.
She is not far from CSUN, maybe a mile or so West and it was looking like a ghetto last I saw it about 2 years ago.
You and I have a perspective of what this "invasion" has done that too many other people don't.
I've been here in Vegas for about 12 years and would guess by now anything North or Riverside Drive is pretty much down the drain by now.
There was a nice showing on 08/01/12. I was happy to see it.
Look, I’m not going to be able to explain everything that has taken place in this region over the last twenty-five years or so. I do think you risk being woefully ill informed if you don’t listen to folks who have lived the area for close to fifty years as I have, and have witnessed what took place.
Would you rather live in an area with a robust middle class work force, or in a riddled section eight housing district?

I’m 61. I used to work at the Exxon on the corner of Van Nuys Boulevard and Sherman way when I was a kid.
The San Fernando Valley is gone. The areas west of downtown L. A. that used to be classy two story dwellings are now run down, paint peeling, once gain... shopping baskets on the side-walks.
Large $500 million dollar high schools in downtown Los Angeles are now almost fully occupied by the children of illegal immigrants.
We’re talking about four of them that I am aware of.
We talking state of the art structures, with hardly a U. S. Citizen attending.
I could go on but there are some parts of this I can’t address. Other parts, there isn’t enough time.

They opened the door for us.
The restaurant was very clean.
Our server was very polite.
The charbroiled chicken sandwiches and waffle fries were great.
The experience was a good one and one unlike I have ever experienced at any McDonald’s.
I will happily return and support this restaurant chain.
