Nathan Duszynski, a 13-year-old whose hot dog cart was shut down by city officials in Holland, Mich., is now homeless, along with his disabled parents.
The Mackinac Center for Public Policy first reported the story.
Nathan had saved up money for a hot dog cart to help his parents pay their bills. His mother suffers from epilepsy and his father suffers from multiple sclerosis, limiting their ability to work.

How can they be homeless with 2 disability checks and foodstamps?
What happened to the $2500.00 that the boy just earned, selling his cart to Shoreline Container Company 2 or 3 weeks ago?
If I had a home to share, I wouldn’t hesitate to open my home to this kid. Anybody who would go to the extent of trying to open a business at thirteen so he could provide for his parents is probably going to be a trouble free kid and family.

Most of the hot dog stands I see around town are turning a profit.
Mayor Kurt Dykstra turned down the family’s appeal to city council last week, saying that it was to protect downtown restaurant owners who had asked that the “success of the downtown district not be infringed upon by those who don’t share in the costs of maintaining the attractiveness of that space.”
So this is a case of crony capitalism hurting small businesses.
And this is what your government calls a “free market economy”. What a joke.

Obviously, this kid did not ruin his business. The government did. Another fine example of how difficult it is for new businesses to get off the ground. The government (that means you Obama) does everything it can to make new businesses fail. Simply because they threaten the current businesses from whom the government is profiting from.
Indeed, just like poetic Marxists, crony capitalism is about looking good to all customers, seemingly making love to them, when in private you want your monopoly and you hate everyone of them, making sure they are paying sheeple and never future business competitors because they would see you feed people tasteless crap.
This is the communistization of society, and government love these kinds of snitches, while PC protects the MArxist profile or tries to manufacture it at school.
Another example is the smoking ban in Michigan bars. The casinos spent big bucks lobbying for the law then got an exemption from it for themselves. The little guys who employ 2 or 3 people got screwed. If the demand for smoke free bars had been all that great, someone would have opened them.
I’m as pro business as anyone here but I’m not going to look the other way when business uses government to keep the competition at bay. That’s not how the free market is supposed to work.
