Well, the left is sure happy about Romney’s choice. They’re saying it’s an even worse choice than Palin and that Romney just threw Florida away.
Hmmmmm .....a newbie and someone who does not like Ryan. Lol!

Anyone would have been good so long as it wasn’t Jebbie or Condi. I also think Pawlenty lacks the backbone for a national campaign and could not bring MN along. It remains to be seen if Ryan can lock up WI. Spiro Agnew could not pry MD from HHH in 1968.

In THIS election a 3rd party vote logically supports Obama.
There is NO 3rd party sufficiently developed yet to effectively give us a VIABLE alternative.

If you don’t get rid of Obama in THIS election....you may not ever have the choice of either a RINO or the mythical PURE conservative again.

Funny you should mention liberals not liking Ryan.
My mind reeled all around, grabbing all sound bytes and such from my memory bank.
Ryan is Catholic, as an aside....YAY for that. Though please calm, such things are not what I base my support on. But I’m really glad there’s a Catholic on the ticket. The Catholic church has been doing its best to rile up support for its fight back against Obamacare and its forcing of giving birth control, abortifacents, how soon will the Catholic church have to pay for abortion the church asks? So that’s a plus as I see it but I’m a bit prejudiced.
The thing that really stands out in my head is Ryan’s reputation for all matters fiscal.
My goodness the libs will be howling bejeesus.
First, Romney choosing Ryan is indicator that he’ll not abandon attacks against Obama for his awful fiscal policies. Not that I thought he would but to put Ryan right in their face has to sting.
I thought the plan Ryan advanced for Medicare to be very reasonable and by choosing him for VP, I cross fingers that the Repubs might be going to push for reform.
Some of the best fiscal plans for us common folks were fought for and pushed by the pubs, oncit upon a time.
First there was COBRA. I don’t know why that awful Soptic fellow didn’t get COBRA when he left GS Steel. It’s the law, company’s got to provide it, for many months depending upon the circumstances. Husband survived brain infection and we had COBRA for two years until Medicare kicked in. Course you got to pay for it but I ponder why in all the arguments COBRA is not mentioned.
Then there was the 401K plans. I know stupid people, people who are habitually poor, didn’t sign up for such thing but if ever a middleclass person was to amass any sort of nest egg, it was through a 401k or IRA.
So I cross fingers and hope Romney’s history as a business person and Ryan’s expertise, we can get these fiscal affairs straightened out.
Finally, now that yon reader is exhausted, don’t tell me about lack of foreign policy experience. Obama’s the biggest loser ever on the world stage! No way would Mittens be any worse, likely he’ll be waaaaay better.

He also actually has a good instinct on foreign policy.

I am energized by this pick and I know many others are too!
A modest proposal: How about in the future we select the vice presidential candidate through the primary/caucus system, and let the veep candidate nominate his running mate. This way, once the backroom crowd has gotten the RINO that they’re looking for, we can look forward to voting for a real conservative — at the top of the ticket.
Ryan is incredibly bright and very fiscally conservative, The only issue is the Romney Ryan ticket has to be ready to counter the “Ryan wants to take away your medicare” garbage barrage from the Dems
The above comments to which you refer were made about Obama and not Ryan, who I think is a fine choice. You need a bit of help in the reading comprehension area.

I just listened to Ryan’s speech...and I am pumped. It was very good, logical, common sense, to the point....and obviously with an awareness of the MAIN issues we face.
Your point is well taken. And we will likely see Grandma going off of a cliff.
I don’t think this is going to fly. First, by the act of choosing Ryan I think a plan is in place to counter the silly Dem arguments. If WE figured out what’s coming, after all, so will the Repubs/Romney.
And I shall add my admittedly anecdotal experiences with this Obamacare/Medicare thing. But so-called senior citizens aren’t as naive as they used to be.
The number one selling point, and one Romney/Ryan should say repeatedly...IT WON’T EFFECT ANYONE OVER 55 YEARS OF AGE!
That alone will calm a lot of nerves. Cause these folks, and I am one, have planned their whole lives around retiring with Social Security and Medicare. Further, now that they’re 65 years old, health care becomes paramount on their minds. It’s not like at that age you can buy some health care on the cheap.
Then Romney/Ryan and the soon to be Republican dominated congress should overhaul Soc Sec/Medicare....I don’t know how, it should be open to debate.
But beyond seniors being a little concerned about suddenly losing their Soc Sec checks and health care, they don’t like this deficit, they don’t trust Obamacare, they want their grandchildren to have the America they grew up in.
It’s going to take a little selling, determination and a good plan....but for now, I’ve got faith.
