First a little bit about CBO: I work with them every single day; very good people; great professionals. They do their jobs well. But their job is to score what is placed in front of them. And what has been placed in front of them is a bill that is fill of gimmicks and smoke and mirrors.
Now what do I mean when I say that?
First off, the bill has ten years of tax increases and ten years of Medicare cuts to pay for six years of spending. The true ten year cost when subsidies kick-in? $2.3 trillion.
The bill is full of gimmicks that more than erase the false claim of deficit reduction:

Obama’s budget? You mean the one that he sent to the Senate that did not garner one vote....even all of the Dems voted against it.
A perfect example of “leading from behind”, not to mention malfeasance.
I think he's too racist for that.
Apparently, you were correct.
I’m on the left coast today, news here has a little time lag.
You "could" be right. We will have to see. I am an Engineer not a financial guy, but I do follow that macro economic situation closely. We are at the cliff and heading over full speed. If we dont have this conversation with the American people NOW or if the sheeple MSM soaked electorate wants their freebies, it will be too late either way.
Even IF these guys win and pick up the Senate, there may still be too many RINO's to stop us from meaningful reform. It's now or never...and by never we all know what comes next and that wont be pretty.
I am sure they will Palinize and Bork Paul Ryan. But I cant think of anyone better to make the argument to the American people. Ballot box or Cartridge box. Thats where we are at, IMO.
To all conservatives who know what’s going on in Washington, Ryan is an awesome choice. He is shrewd and brilliant. Bob
P.S. Little REMEMBERED fact: Clinton was also our treasonous rapist-in-chief who benefitted from the dot.com bubble, which will never be repeated.
How is this for gall? Last night libs were already demanding Ryan release all his college records for investigation.
I do like what I saw in the video.... been waiting for four plus years for someone to talk TO Hussein like that.
Just wish Mitt had those kind of balls.
Now if we could just get a Ryan-West or West-Ryan ticket.
Having said all that, I think something may be up, but I'm not sure what it is. Maybe it's a hunch. Or faith in God. But I think something will happen to turn this thing around - I don't believe that America's time is up quite yet. I hope to God Ryan and as many people as possible come to the aid of our country and pull it out of the jaws of the enemy (in this case the enemy within).
I must say, my bitter disappointment with Palin's demur has been somewhat assuaged as I've recently seen Paul Rubio on the horizon. Something's going to have to happen in the meantime to keep America afloat, but with people like Rubio and others on the horizon, America may still have some bright days ahead.
Don’t worry, I’m not voting for that SOB Mitt Romney either.
I’m guessing Ryan is a little more prepared than was Palin. Thats not taking anything away from Mrs P. I
ts just Ryan has the advantage, much at her expense unfortunately, to know how sleezoid team Obama and his sycophant propagandist media is.
Ryan talks down to Hussein (in your FACE, Hussein) like Mitt should have been doing all along.
I disagree. Romney wants to appiear above it. NOW, his surogates, they need to hammar Obama relentlessly..even mocking him. In my not so humble oppinion.
What frustrates me is when Romney misses opportunities for easy points.
“Ryan talks down to Hussein (in your FACE, Hussein) like Mitt should have been doing all along.”
Quoted for truth!!!
Who are the 2 guys next to Ryan on the youtube video? The guy with white hair is glaring at Ryan somewhat disapprovingly. Is he one of Obama’s goons? The other guy looks like he’d rather fall asleep.
Bump for Sunday viewing.

Good idea. However the problem is that the masses listen only to sound bites lasting a few seconds — and then forget the message within a day. In my opinion, very short messages need to be hammered several times a day.
