The state is buying a sizable chunk of my township while selling state land near Detroit.

Another you might find interesting. Unfortunately Our FReeps didn't read beyond the word "Occupy" and are happily cheering on the other side. They're eating us alive in Michigan because nobody pays attention.

And some further info on the plans for my beloved Raisin River.

Thank you.

From where I sit it seems like a green wall is being built up the Jackson / Washtenaw county line. As it is now there is Waterloo state rec area to the north, Sharon Valley state rec area on two sides of the little town of Norvell and now the new property is just south of town.

My mother has been tracking this a lot longer than I have and she’s a writer. I should have her write a comprehensive summary and I can send it on to you.

If you decide to start a ping list for the show I’d be happy to get on board.

Some things never change—

Declaration of Independence—

“He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.”

I see no difference then as now.

We will be happy to set up an interview if she's up for that.

Agenda 21 is like the Royal Proclamation of 1763 which forbid colonists from crossing the Appalachians. Then as now, it was a means of controlling the royal subjects.

Why is your township selling?

The township isn’t selling. The private owner can’t afford to keep it any more. When they started talking about it a year or so back the owner said that regulations on land use had made it unprofitable for farming and it was nothing but a growing tax burden.
