President Barack Obama called Huma Abedin, a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, an 'American patriot' at a White House Iftar dinner celebrating the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

His praise came after a group of Republican lawmakers accused her of having ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamist political organization.

'She has been nothing less than extraordinary in representing our country and the democratic values that we hold dear,' Obama said.

I see Huma’s patriotism is one of the most important news stories of the day. Indeed, makes news to me, too.

True story:

My brother's friend was working at a hotel where Hillary and Huma stayed one night on official business. The two stayed in adjacent hotel rooms with a private door opening between the two rooms.

In the morning after they left, this person went into the hotel rooms and found:

- In one hotel suite nothing had been touched; not the bed, not anything in the bathroom, nothing.

- The other room had been used, was very messed up, had head imprints on both pillows and clearly had been slept in by two people, etc.

Personally I couldn't care less what they want to do in private, and I don't think this proves anything definitively about "Mrs. Weiner," but it does make inquiring minds go "hmmmmmm..."
