1) What **rational** parent would even consider sending their children into an institution where they would " **regularly**encounter negative messages such as "you're worthless" and "everybody hates you."? Hopefully, these ads will result in a massive withdraw of children from the government schools this August.

2) While I do not condone ignoring abuse, the very fact that government schools are run by government functionaries may teach the children to be comfortable being government snitches on the family and neighbors. In a private school reporting to government workers wouldn't be an issue.

3) As you drive by your local government owned and run socialist-entitlement schools, as yourself, "Does that building look like a prison? In what ways are the children ( who are there under police threat) treated like prisoners."? If children are treated like prisoners we shouldn't be surprised to see bullying and cliques since both are manifestations of prison social pathology.

Sounds like Obama’s message to people who own small businesses.

Another Reason to Homeschool
Ping to a few friends and others who have pinged me in the last day or two.

Two more things:

Bullying is harmful not only to the child being bullied but also to those witnessing it. Many children live in fear that they may be the next target.

When we lived on the East Coast our family went to the ocean beach often. I never recall seeing bullying on the beach. I think there are many reasons for this.

—There is adequate adult supervision, ( being on the edge of the ocean) by parents who are emotionally invested in their children.

—The children can leave an activity at any time.

—There is opportunity to rest when tired and eat when hungry.

—I found it very interesting to watch the older children teaching the younger children good “beach manners”.

—It was fascinating to watch children, who supposedly have short attention spans, work intensely on the same project for and entire day and ( sometimes) for several days.

—In one particular incident, I was very impressed to watch an older girl ( about 11) spend an entire afternoon teaching a younger child ( about 7) how to do somersaults.

Maybe if schools were more like beaches we would see more learning, and genuinely healthy socialization. But..Hey! That's what homeschooling is!

This is ridiculous. None of the kids I bullied in school turned out to be psycho killers.

I just spoke with the President... what can we do about this right-wing bullying?

We'll work up... a Number 6 on 'em!

Fantastic! I cannot wait.. to tell the President about this!

You know, Hedley, if you only had to play golf and go to fundraiser... this won't be a bad gig--

Anti-Bullying Campaign Airs Its First Ad, Targets Parents

The first message needs to go to school administrators.

Just like the owner of a business has a responsibility to make sure the workplace is free of harassment, so too do school administrators have the responsibility to make sure the school is free of bully harassment.

Once again the message is directed to the wrong place.

Looks like you have gotten “owned” on your inability to proved studies supporting you, as well on your bullying tactics. Please note I did not call you a bully I said your tactics (like your hero Alinsky) are bullying. Further it seems like quite a few people agree with me.

Kids reporting bullies will just get in trouble, and become targets for the bullies.

We don't participate.
This year in particular, the private school my boys attend is pushing all this anti-bully crap like never seen before.

My boys are trained to fight back and protect themselves and I must say, they are pretty efficient at it for their ages. We will go along until a zero-tolerance rule plays out badly, then we will move on somewhere else. I won't force my kids to resort to being a continuous tattletale in order to protect themselves... all it does is subject a kid to even more ridicule. These dumbass people actually believe laws and initiatives will change the behavior of kids.
