CNN's Candy Crowley Claims Some GOPers Think Ryan Pick ‘Some Sort of Ticket Death Wish’

As NewsBusters has been noting all Saturday morning, now that Paul Ryan has been chosen as Mitt Romney's running mate, the goal of the Obama-loving media is to rip him to shreds.

Doing her part Saturday was CNN's Candy Crowley who claimed some Republicans think this "looks a little bit like some sort of ticket death wish" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

CNN's Candy Crowley Claims Some GOPers Think Ryan Pick ‘Some Sort of Ticket Death Wish’

CANDY CROWLEY, CNN: We’ve already had this debate. All they have to do at Obama Reelect is open up the files because this debate has already happened. They just bring it back, it goes, it is, you know, what they talk about. But I think the other thing that’s worth pointing out is not every Republican has signed on to this kind of, I mean, they will publicly. But there is some trepidation…

GLORIA BORGER, CNN: They're afraid.

CROWLEY: ...that this might be, looks a little bit like some sort of ticket death wish. That, oh, my gosh, do we really want to talk about these thing? Is this where we want to go when the economy is so bad? We could have stayed on that.

A ticket death wish?

Readers are advised this came right after CNN's Gloria Borger called Ryan "a polarizing figure."

Is this how the folks at CNN think they're going to improve their continually declining ratings?

I would just hazard a guess that they would find fault with whomever Romney selected.

[snicker]

If Team Romney/Ryan win — Ryan could be a prime position to be president after Romney.

She is like saying: “not supporting the narcissism based opinions of the Aurora or Sikh Temple shooter is a death wish”.

I am sure both of them were very popular and successful kids who thought they had the luxury to go on a rampage. It’s the same way in the way thoughts and people are changed to behave certain ways: they think as a nation everyone is gay or for gays, so they vote for that.

And this is how liberals make their self-fulfilling prophecies of dictatorship come true.

She works for CNN she says what is expected of her.

It is expected that CNN will attack anyone who Romney picked. Look for a lot more of it, before they are done they will want his tax forms for the last 20 years,The Birth certificate of his wife and kids, and the name of the first Ryan to enter this country. Maybe they will even check his drivng record for a speeding ticket.Meanwhile they have never vetted Obama and have no intention of doing so.

What do we care what this Petunia Pig lookalike says anyway.

She obviously is out of touch with America or what is good for America, and she has no intention of respecting any opinion.

And you are right, she treats certain opinions or behaviors or policies like a krispy cream: she thinks people crave the same crap junk food that she does. THis is why these people want to regulate slurpies because themselves and their fatso constituents think it needs to be done by projecting their out of control desires on those things unto others. MEanwhile they get their paws greased by the very same companies that make those gay foods and support them. This is typical “pious gay conservative” behavior for you, if there is such a thing.

Yep, she has a death wish. It’s through lenses of what she sees decisions and the world that she explains things.

They can regulate slurpies for their fat a$$es but we are too dum to build our own opinions about what is right for AMerica in terms of fair sexual conduct or what not. See, we are nice children, we are not thug pimps bling bling, we need to know better.

Oh, we are getting to know better alright.

Yes, exactly. No matter whom Romney chose for VP, the Dem talking points were already written:
"What a terrible pick! Democrats are thrilled! _______________ [fill Republican name in the blank] is an extremist, a millionaire's dream, a senior citizen's nightmare, blah blah blah blah blah..."

I already heard Fox's resident liberals, Beckel and Kristen Powers, mouth the same pre-programmed words. And both tried to look as if they were gloating triumphantly. Neither was convincing.

Candy Crowley. Ya listening Candy? As far as you,Candy are concerned, you’re a death wish. You’re obese, unwholesome, and your name Candy has been misplaced for decades. No one’s going to be sweet on you.

As for Ryan, he speaks for America. Romney and Ryan will lay out a plan to take this country back from the socialist brink. It’ll take years because of the damage Obama has done. But we’re up to it. And we no longer need over-stuffed comrades like yourself upsetting our digestive track during dinner-time TV.

You’re (along with CNN) political has-beens, with declining market share due to your being the CommieNewsNetwork for decades. We’re on to you. And we turn you off. My TV isn’t big enough for you to fit on the screen, and it’s a wide-screen HD. Oops. I’m sorry I wrote that. The image is making me sick.

What 'things' is she talking about? I haven't seen any of the coverage today, because I worked til 3:30, then went straight to a cook-out. Ryan is the PERFECT candidate for talking about the economy, but maybe that's WHY they don't like him. He's been honing his arguments on this country's fiscal problems for a couple of years, so he'll be pretty formidable.
