She's touted by the liberal media as one of the brightest commentators on television, yet MSNBC's Rachel Maddow got thoroughly demolished by National Review editor Rich Lowry on Sunday's Meet the Press.

“MSNBC’s supposed brightest commentator doesn’t do very well when there are folks on the set that disagree with her.”

I’ve come to the conclusion that Liberals do not prize wisdom and intelligence. For them, it’s all about personality and cleverness.

Rachel Maddow argues like a girl - lots of eye rolling, smirks, attitude, and emotion but short on logic and facts.

And that is right about where any female likeness ends.

The GOPe nominated Romney because they don't really support Conservative values.
Romney chose a Conservative as VP, because he wants to appeal to the base.

The Democrats will now savage Romney/Ryan whenever Romney/Ryan says somethign Conservative.
The Democrats will now savage Romney/Ryan whenever Romney/Ryan says something that is not Conservative.

And the media will jump all over Romney/Ryan for their blatant hypocrisy.

It's 2008 all over.

Everytime I follow one of these newsbusters “X destroys Y” I am underwhelmed about 80% of the time.

Lowry could have done better in hammering the point of “Then why are all you Libs bashing Ryan?”

Did I miss something? Rich Lowery didn’t “destroy” anybody. If anything, Maddow looked like she won the argument just by her sheer smugness.

She’s a typical liberal; it doesn’t matter that she’s stupid. She’s got rudeness and most important, to them, she’s Gay. There is no way they’ll figure out what a fraud she is. Like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, helping the poor (i.e., the state) has been very, very good for her.

Surrender much? It's looking more like 2010 all over. The fact is 99% of dim bulb moderates who will decide this election don't know Obama has already cut $700 billion from medicare.

That is LAW the dims will have to defend every single time the Ryan PLAN is debated. They don't want that discussion so we will see more Romney killed my wife ads.

I thought he did a good job up until the end. You’re point is well taken though. When she finally asked the question at the end, his response should have been “Romney is at the top of the ticket however your point is well taken; why is the left attacking Paul Ryan when Obama cut 700 billion out of this program?”

It's 2008 all over.

Not quite. Yes, the MSM can be expected to trash the Republican candidates for President, VP and every other national office; it's their 'template'. But the biggest difference this time around is that Obama is no longer an empty canvas on which people can paint their ideal President. He is a KNOWN quantity this year, and some who voted for him last time have no intention of making that mistake again. They may not be saying that to the pollsters, because they don't want to be thought of as 'racists', which the media tends to do to folks who don't bow at the altar of Obama. I think this is why the polls are still so close; I don't think the election will be.

If you didn’t see Lowry trash maddow, you missed a lot. Maddow thinks being a smart-ass is the same as being smart. Many leftists have the same attitude, which is why she’s popular with the snotty college kid crowd. However, her snarky, smirking, sarcasm doesn’t stand up when confronted by facts. Maddow is too stupid to realize this, and gets her ass handed to her whenever she accidentally allows somebody with an actual command of the facts to speak.

Sorry, I can’t watch Madcow clips without projectile vomiting, or at least, violent dry heaves.

Madcow is the perfect Democrat spokesman. She is a flaming radical socialist atheist lesbian feminist propagandist. If she was also a disabled black Jew* on food stamps, she would be the entire Democrat base in one person.

* There are many cultural Jews who are atheists. Jews socially and by tradition but don’t believe in God, like George Soros is.

DAN BALZ, WASHINGTON POST: Not only because of revenue, but he dissented because he did not think it went far enough on healthcare. . LOWRY: Right. And that's the key thing. Even President Obama, who's cut $700 billion from Medicare, which I guess you support… MADDOW: Which Paul Ryan will keep doing… LOWRY: Do you support $700 billion in cuts in Medicare over the next ten years? MADDOW: I'm not running for president. LOWRY: Do you? MADDOW: I'm not running for anything. Paul Ryan is running for vice president. LOWRY: Do you? Why can’t you answer? See, you can’t answer. MADDOW: But wait, I'm not running for anything.. LOWRY: This is the key vulnerability. Democrats have cut $700 billion out of Medicare which you won't or can't defend it. Defend it. MADDOW: Is it good or bad? LOWRY: Do you support it? You can’t answer. MADDOW: But wait. Why are you asking me?

So she is going to ask Ryan because he's "running for Vice President" but won't ask Obama the same question who is now President and is running again to be President another 4 years...because she herself is not a candidate? What?

Known to a point. We still don’t know his history, and the Dems will want to hide the facts of the last 4 years, which ain’t pretty.

We need to press Obama to what is ahead in his plans. What exactly is the reason he wanted the Russians to play ball and hold out until after the election with that open mike incident with the Russian President? Why would he need to tell a potential adversary that he needed to wait until he didn’t need public opinion for his power in order to do...what?

A few suspicions I have of Obama in his second term, or prior to leaving office if he loses in November;
-Sweeping gun control, as much as he can ram down our throats, as fast as he possibly can.
-Unilateral nuclear disarmament.
-Massive cutbacks in military spending.
-Increased taxes on businesses and those making $100K.

In today's clip Maddow argues like the head of a high school cheer-leading squad when questioned by a kid from the 'out group'.

It's all attitude - eye rolling - and classically feminine. If a man acted like that people would use the term 'drama queen' and his ideas would be dismissed. Maddow's a smart woman - she's capable of better. I suspect she's been hanging out in liberal echo chambers too long...

And no, not all women use feminine wiles in a political debate... but Maddow is not among them...

I tried to identify a real issue: the GOP creates a problem for itself when it splits the ticket with two Republicans who have fundamental disagreements.

You make a powerful and cogent argument against this observation, and yet I continue to think it is a problem.

Why would she have to be running for anything to answer the question? She is an activist and spokesman for the President so of course her answer is relevant. It and being a lesbian is the reason she is on that program.

How many "pure" tickets, or cohesive tickets, can you recall, especially on the GOP side? Reagan had Bush (much different than himself). Ford had tried to offer Reagan the VP slot. Kemp was a supply side pro-lifer who went with the RINO Dole. Even going back to FDR, Truman was brought aboard in 1944 specifically because he bucked up FDR's anticommunist creds.

So I don't think this is a fair criticism. It's politics, and has been for a century.

And that is bad for him exactly why?

He added several times that much for his main constituency, welfare. The loudest, most destructive and "entitled" of all.

Frankly, most voters don't CARE about Obama's history. They only care about the issues that effect them right now, and Paul Ryan can address those directly, to Obama's detriment.
