Obama's Campaign One Of The Dirtiest In Modern Times
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 08/10/2012 | Bernard Goldberg

Posted on 08/12/2012 11:35:45 AM PDT by Robwin

If you've been paying attention to Barack Obama's campaign for re-election you may have noticed a recurring theme. While he hits the campaign trail, flashing his million-dollar smile and waving to the adoring crowds, his political hit men are engaged in one of the dirtiest campaigns in recent American history — a campaign where decency is no virtue and moral atrocities are no vice. Not if they help Barack Obama win re-election.

Goldberg does a good job of summarising the foulness of the Obama campaign thus far. Though there is nothing new here it does raise the question: if Obama & Co are going this dirty this early, what can we look forward to over the next 3 months?

Yes, but Obama is not to blame! Who is then? BUSH.

Actually, I think that being called a "negative campaigner" doesn't hurt much, being a negative is not a negative, people understand that that is politics, and politics is not beanbag. ON THE OTHER HANDS, if one's negativity becomes an enduring overriding theme, that you are virtually inhuman as a campaigner, it could have a slight negative effect. Just slight. So the key thing is that Romney should not whine about the nature of the game, and that Romney should fully abandon his goody-two-shoes puritanical "I'm better than everyone else" reluctance to engage in the serious type of negative campaigning required to win.

We are seeing Obama’s Stalinist values come out in the campaign, and we can see that he is not alone. This is but a microcosmic prelude to what Obama’s Stalinist have in store for us. It isn’t mere Chicago thuggery.

"Obama will do anything to get reelected."

And, he will do anything once he is (God forbid)reelected.

Obama can’t run on his abysmal record.

He knows it and his sheep know it.

His “hope and change” mantra has proven to be a lie.

All he has is the dirty attacks.

He will use them early and often.

It is hard to criticize Romney just yet, because he won the primaries pretty handily.

I hope he has something up his sleeve. because if you have run for president for such a long-time, it would be pretty pathetic to chuck it all in the last 3 months and surrender.

Dirty, yes. But I’d say they’re so far off the mark with their attacks that they’re doing more damage to their credibility than they are to Romney. I’d say if they were going to go this dirty they should have left it to much later in the campaign where there would be less time to evaluate and discuss whether the allegations were true. I’m certain that there will be much late-breaking Mitt-eats-live-kittens type news, but any they’ve destroyed any chance that such a campaign would have any effect.

The sad thing is, dirty campaigning works, and it works on both sides. I don’t know how to change it. I know it doesn’t work for me because I look things up and check things out. I can read at better than a 3rd grade level. I can analyze data and come to rational conclusions. I learned analytical thinking at a young age.

Without these skills, and the 3 second soundbites telling us all we need to know... dirty campaigning works.

I have some friends who also happen to be liberals. I would think these people to be intelligent, but yet they now keeping repeating the ungliness and the lies. Sad commentary.

> Obama’s Campaign One Of The Dirtiest...

And if it gets him elected then it will say a lot about what attracts the majority of voters.

Some people say Johnson's campaign against Goldwater in 1964. Nixon in 1972 certainly had a lot of illegal tricks going on, but his actual campaign ads weren't anywhere near as bad as this years.

Sometimes, there's one scandalous ad that gets everybody talking, but the rest of the campaign is relatively clean and above board. Or else the primary race is dirtier than the actual two-party election. This year the mud just isn't going to stop getting slung.

The dirtiest campaigns in American history were probably 1928, 1884, 1828, and 1800.

Didn’t Johnson have an ad with a girl picking flowers and suddenly there is an atomic explosion implying that Goldwater would kill off half the planet?

Can’t imagine much worse than that, except for the Obama ad. Perhaps the more personalized death of one man’s wife, though based on lies, has more of a punch than the vile threat of mass extermination.

Romney needs to hit harder. His campaign can’t be just a matter of choice between freedom and feudalism. Goldwater’s “Choice not an echo” theme didn’t get the job done.

Win or lose this POS will cause blood in the streets. If we the workers and job suppliers do not give into the Bozo voters they will cheat to have him elected, if not they will come to steal from us anyway.

“Obama will do anything to get reelected.”

For me the truth of this was demonstrated by the Mitt-killed-my-wife argument.

I now believe that this administration, which has been bending and stretching Truth and Reality all along, are capable of attempting to test the mettle of the American people after 40 years in a degraded Culture.

Ryan's short term work is to reflect the dirt from the surrogates onto Zer0 and then bury him with more of the same.

If Harry Reid is a pedophile, then so is 0bama.

There has to be a Federal law that access other persons individual tax forms that can be pursued. If so Harry Reid should be charged as an accessory after fact and be placed under arrest by the Federal Marshals while on the floor of the senate.

I would love to see his reaction on that one.

Obama and his enablers are for the most part of the rising influence of the Muslim population and influence. That Mohammed was an evil anti-Christ man doesn’t mean squat to many people who see all Christian humans as foolish but who Muslims see as competitors/replacement for Mohammed. To the contrary of what Obama would have USA history record Islam was not part of the heritage from the Founding Fathers. The sooner this evil weed of Islam is removed from the sod of USA territory the sooner we can be back to the ground of our Founding Fathers.

NOT TRUE... the democrats have been planning overthrow of this republic for many decades..
Republicans allowed the overthrow of our colleges and public school system QUITE ON PURPOSE....
Like PollyAnnas playing the "GLAD GAme"..

Republicans are quite delusional.. proof is running the inventor Romney-care against the inventor of Obama-care..
This election is cartoon.. actually the last four or six Presidential elections have been cartoons..

From George Bush Sr. on the elections have been jokes.. cartoons.. Wiley E. Coyote vs. the big Beeper.. AND ACME Explosives Safes and Rockets has been in charge..
Proof; Wall Street elected the most in your face Marxist since Eugene Debs.. or Ralph Nader..

Well to be... truthful--

In the 1884 election, we Republicans did shout "Ma, Ma, where's my Pa?" at... Democrat candidate Grover Cleveland, but he won the election, answering the question: "Gone to the White House. Ha! Ha! Ha!"

Maybe we need to go back in time and claim Grover killed a woman or threw one off a cliff... then we'd be even--
