Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his newly-named running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.), will appear in their first joint interview on Sunday’s 60 Minutes. Face the Nation host Bob Schieffer will conduct the interview, CBS News tweeted Sunday morning.

60 minutes?!?! I hope R&R are prepared to lacerate those punks! So, will Zero and Sub-Zero (Biden) subject themselves to a Megyn Kelly interview?
Ive been watching them all weekend doing speeches etc. Paul Ryan is actually fantastic!! and Romney looks like he is having one hell of a time, finally. A little pep in his step. Ryan completes him, lol. (You complete... me, Jerry McGuire)
And then will be edited heavily to show them saying things far out of context. Why ‘R’ candidates agree to go on any of the domestic terrorist networks (NBC, ABC, CBS) blows my mind.. It’s as if they think ‘Hey I’LL be the one that they interview fairly and show in a decent light.” Wrong. They hate you. They hate your family. They love chaos. They love communism. Mostly, they love themselves.
It’ll be a hit piece, and provide fodder for the network morning shows all week. Why haven’t Republicans figured that out?
Hopefully the campaign will have its own cameras running in order to refute the almost-certain selectively negative editing that will occur.

They are like the Stepford wives answering to their liberal leaders. Why do they have to go to that show? 60 minutes is crap.

I think this hurt Sarah Palin last go-around. The McCain campaign dithered around with respect to putting Palin out there in the media. The media meme became that "Palin is unprepared." As a result, when Palin did finally do some interviews, there was more scrutiny on her than there should have been.
Why in the hell would you reward 60 Minutes with the first interview? If anything, they should be the last. Their record of partisanship is second to none and should be the basis for putting them last.

Funny, I used to think they were like cutting edge 30 years ago. I remember the clock ticking thing.
