Sarah Palin: We’ve got Paul Ryan’s back and will call out the media for their lies and distortions

Sarah Palin says that Paul Ryan is sure to be vetted and scrutinized, but that she among others has his back and will call out the media for their lies and distortions. She goes on to say that when she was thrust in that spotlight that she didn’t have a lot of support from people in the McCain campaign to defender her and explain what her record was all about because they were protecting their own future interests. But she says that we won’t let that happen to Paul Ryan:

Ditto.

No one wants Obama, and few want Obama-lite either.

Some of us believe the Establishment betrayed us and that they need to see for themselves there are still a core out here who remain both severe constitutionalists and severely Christian, both anathema to the two parties presently.

Our Romney voting critics fail to grasp that the senate and House would attempt to freeze Obama in place should he be re-elected and we take the senate, but they will line up to offer carte blanche to Ruse Romney and the House will be cowards to shut the purse to his own greand schemes, he who ushered in socialism/Marxism/Obamacare himself, only on a smaller stage.

REBELLION IS HARD, and it is scary. Somebody, somewhere has to resist, lest they come for me.

Pul-leeze!!!!

What difference would it make what Sarah Palin’s parents’ beliefs were a half-century ago??

This is NOT an election about religion. If it were, we’d be discussing the radical anti-Christianity of Rev. Wright, the muslim upbringing of The One, and the moonbat beliefs of Romney. EVERYBODY LOSES. There simply is no winner in that discussion, and Ryan or Palin can’t fix that.

We’re electing a chief executive.

Actually Palin voluntarily stood down.

I remember well. I was planning to vote for her.

Apparently you are unaware Obama has been waving his executive order pen around like a third-world dictator everytime the GOP House shoots down one of his agenda items. A House and Senate controlled by the GOP won't mean bubkus to this pig.

Probably not very many. I even pray the Marxist usurper gets the boot, even though I cannot personally vote for the myth:

At this point it seems like perhaps you are just being stubborn and letting pride get in the way of good decision making.

With Ryan on the ticket there is no rational way to argue that Romney/Ryan isn't a better choice than Obama/Biden. And that's your choice - Romney/Ryan or Obama/Biden. Pick one. Pretty sure even folks like Sarah Palin would flat out tell you that refusing to vote for the only ticket that has any chance of removing Obama from office is a serious mistake. She's got Ryan's back and you can bet she is going to be supporting Romney/Ryan despite it's glaring flaws at the top of the ticket.

General election ballots are not an affirmative endorsement of a candidate, they are a choice between the only candidates that can win - and yes, most of the time that is going to be the lesser of two evils in a two party system.

Can anyone recall if any politicians said he would have Palin’s back four years ago when she was selected by McCain?

Wouldn’t you know that again it takes Gingrich to articulate, on time, as in immediately, a coherent defense, in terms that rips the opposition with his mastery of both the issue, the premise and the details. Contrary to announcing that he will have someone’s back, Gingrich gets out there, on day one, and covers their back.

This is a virtue of Gingrich which I am sure Sarah admired also.

I’m with Sarah Palin on this one. We let HER down in 2008 by not having her back.

This time around, there will be no mistake. *WE* have his back.

It is a historic and unprecedented ticket. A left wing liberal-progressive and a conservative on the same ticket... truly bipartisan./sarc

Problem is that the conservative is at the bottom of the ticket as usual. He will have to follow the lib around like a puppy, say "Yes, sir". Conservatives can be really excited as he goes around attending ribbon cutting ceremonies and inaugurations. He will also be the "bridge" to conservatives when the lib implements liberal programs, telling conservatives that everything will be ok, and to look the other way.

Pride? Maybe. I proudly stand on principle. Stubbornness? You’re damned right! I absolutely refuse to vote for a man who for more than three decades of his adult life advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America. And who stated flat out that Roe v Wade should be sustained and supported as the law of the land (even though it was not legislated). And who boasted he’d be better for gay rights than Ted Kennedy. And proved it. And who advocated and signed into law the socialist/fascist healthcare system that made ObamaCare possible. Hell no I won’t vote for Romney. He obviously doesn’t believe in or support our God-given unalienable rights.

” If she still does, she’s probably appalled at what has taken place over the last months.”

I think I disagree. See comment 17.

I voted for Perot 20 years ago to shake up the repubs and have regretted what has happened ever since. We have a 2 party system and no way can I survive what will happen with another 4 years of Obama. like Life, it is better than the alternative.

We (or most of us) had her back. Still do. But the GOPe sure as hell didn’t. The same GOPe who now has Romney’s back. Ain’t that a curious twist of fate.

That means Sarah will be fighting a two front war — one against the Obama and his Kool-Aid drinkers and media, plus the one against the GOP RINOs like McCain, Boehner, McConnell, Rove, et. al.

I disagree with you. We didn’t have her back. Myself included. When she was attacked by Katie Couric, what did “we” do? When she was attacked by liberal “stars” in Hollywood, what did “we” do?

When her CHILDREN were attacked, what did “we” do?

I’m ashamed that I didn’t do more. I will NEVER let that happen again. I remember seeing the liberals trash the children of Rick Santorum and then Sarah Palin. They attacked CHILDREN. Comedians on OUR airwaves mocked children.

No, Mr. Robinson, “WE” didn’t have her back. I know you’ve met her, I saw her during a campaign stop in Western PA then. She is a little dynamo. I realize this is off topic, but I really do hope that everyone knows why liberals hate her so much. 1. She’s beautiful. 2. She appreciates the fact that she’s a woman and doesn’t try to look like a man. 3. She LOVES her husband and family and the love is returned.

Now, if you’re going to ask me to defend the Andrea Saul’s of the RNC, forget it. I’m not going to do it. I believe “WE” are the party, not them. It’s up to us.

Precisely correct.

And that is why, for me, the addition of Ryan to the ticket does not offset Romney enough to vote for Romney.

Were the positions reversed, it would be more interesting -- then I'd have to consider whether I thought Ryan had sufficient executive decision-making experience to do well in a very difficult executive position. We have had four years of seeing what a President with no executive experience does in that position, we don't need any more amateur hour.

A ticket reversal would require a major shakeup in the GOPe, and I don't expect it to occur. On the other hand, it would make me interested enough to watch some of the convention. But as it is, I don't need an emetic that badly.
