Palin: Tea partiers have 'no choice' but Romney; 'Of course they're going w/ anybody but Obama'
WorldNetDaily ^ | August 13, 2012 | Drew Zahn

After a long and sharply contested GOP primary battle, many Republicans, conservatives and tea-party types have been left questioning whether they can, in good conscience, vote for Mitt Romney in November.

Romney’s statements as a former advocate of legalized abortion, his hotly contested record on same-sex marriage and his health-care reforms while governor of Massachusetts – sometimes maligned as “Romneycare” – have left conservatives uncertain if the presumptive Republican nominee is really one of their own.

Tea-party darling and former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, however, is basically dismissing the concerns, telling Fox News Channel’s Shannon Bream that Romney has the Republican Party’s conservative base in the bag.

On “America’s News Headquarters” over the weekend, host Bream asked Palin if Romney’s choice of Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., as running mate would help persuade those “not completely sold” on the name at the top of the GOP ticket...

Your right, we should obey the people who lead us to where we are today because they were not brave enough to stand up to the left. Romney is now mister nice guy. He could treat his primary opponents like trash; lie, cheat and steal in the primary, but God forbid he say anything too nasty about Obama. Any Freeper here could come up with plenty he could say, but he won’t because he, like McCain, doesn’t want to make the left and the media mad. He wants to be their friends.

Sorry, I don’t believe the world will end because of Obama. That’s the left and gop-e tactic to force us to vote as they want. The people in the military will obey the president to a point—my husband was in the military and works for & with them. Yes there are some K/A’s, but our troops will stand up to evil when they see clearly what is happening.

I am more fearful that we might not have any election this year. Obama’s zombies will stop at nothing if they know they are about to lose

At best Romney is apolitical or bipolitical. I definitely don't agree that he thinks like Paul Ryan. Ryan clearly bases all his thoughts on core principles and values, while Romney is much more of an "ends justify the means" type.

I read that Reagan didn't become a registered Republican until he was 51, and that he was a long-time admirer of FDR. Politicians sometimes change their views. Time will tell whether Romney is sincere or not.

I'm willing to look at where Romney's ended up, rather than where he started, with the hope that his metamorphosis is real. But as you say, with sufficient conservative pressure, the point is moot.

In reference to the similarity with Paul Ryan, what I meant was that they are both intelligent, logical and analytical, particularly in regard to fiscal matters, which would be a massive improvement over the current economic idiocy emanating from the White House at present.

Folks like to say 2012 is the most important election of our lifetimes. I tend to disagree. 2008 was the most important. And America lost. The malignancy is fully embedded in the system now.

That's how I see it. That's why I can't get so enthused about this time.

Acts of civil disobedience are welcome.Just stay home. Let things get real bad so we can actually rid ourselves of the entire lot of them , progressives and leftists. Let the parasites eat themselves out of house and home.

Why vote for Romney? He will refuse to undo most of what Obama has done, allowing the People to be enslaved.Ryan is just bait to get Tea Partiers to vote. We learned all that with McCain/Palin and its post election analysis in 2008, and the Palin Rope a Dope up to “ I am not running!.” So SICK!.

Stay home, and let the RNC and the DNC eat the cake of their own undoing. I would love to see the GOP dead, out of business, a defunct party which is out of touch with the people. I have no intention of legitimizing them in any way, certainly not with my conservative vote.

The GOP has one last chance to put a conservative in as the nominee instead of Romney, at the GOP convention, and if they do not, then the GOP can join the ranks of the history of the extinct.

The future of the USA is in the Tea Party, not in the GOP and why should the Tea Party join the GOP to defeat Obama, we can do it ourselves, without ANY GOP in 2016?

I don’t like Romney. Never have. But, I like Ryan a lot. Romney showed me with his choice of VP that he is willing to make bold moves. Like it or not, we either get behind this ticket and support it or we have 4 more years of Obummer. This is not rocket science. If the ticket is good enough for Palin, Gingrich, Cain and others who I’ve supported and respect, then it’s good enough for me. Not great... but, good enough.

Remember when John Banner cried ... We could vote third party, or write in someone and vote conservative the rest of the ticket.

Third Party, you say?

Why sure, just go ahead and vote for John Banner then.

FReegards!

We must all hang together behind Romney, or most assuredly we shall all ride separately in the boxcars to the re-education camps.

Bill Ayers would not waste a train trip on us, he will put a bullet in our head right in our front yard and leave the body to be buried by our families, if he leaves them alive.

Politicians sometimes change their views. Time will tell whether Romney is sincere or not.

I am very much hoping that Romney is the man who spoke to the student body at the Citadel this year. If he is that man then he will eclipse Reagan making him look like a weak kneed moderate.

But and it’s a big but, I expect Romney will work hard at gaffing his way to defeat and I am already certain it will be deliberate.

I think it means that there are 3 bases of republicanism — fiscons, socons, defcons. Romney’s got the fiscons, probably the defcons. He’s throwing us socons under the bus.

Conservatives are no longer the base of the GOP. They never liked us and now they think they can operate without us. They may be right, maybe win this election without us because zer0bama is such a crappy president.

No matter who wins this next election, conservatism loses.

"PALIN: TEA PARTIERS HAVE 'NO CHOICE' BUT ROMNEY 'Of course they're going to go with anybody but Obama'"

Sarah clearly identifies with the "Tea Partiers". Read her lips:

"'Of course, WE're going to go with anybody but Obama'"

Palin is not "choosing" Romney. She will, as will I, be voting

A. B. O. / Ryan

Sarah is right—We MUST support Romney and Ryan and give them a Tea Party Congress and Senate. I bet —with TEA party support Romney may well become another Reagan-—When his two terms are up they will be carving his face on mountains. Just a guess—and I have been wrong in the past-—but it is possible.
