Navy Cmdr. Michael P. Ward II, who has been accused of having an affair with a 23-year-old Chesapeake, Va., woman and faking his death as a means of ending it, has been relieved of his duties as the commanding officer of the USS Pittsburgh, just one week after he was put in command.
The woman said she met Ward, 43, on a dating website in October. She said Ward, who is married with children, told her her he was separated and that he worked in "special ops." She said he got her pregnant then, in an effort to end the relationship, faked his death in an email communication in July.
Just wondering, does it really count as “faking your death” in an email?
Come on. We’ve all done it...
Folks, look, things are tough all over.
But the country is on the precipice of disaster, and we need FR more now than ever.
As Conservatives, we pay for what we use. If youve ever thought about becoming a monthly, just $5 a month would go so far.
Cmon now, if some han-n-egger from the neighborhood like me can be a monthly, you can do $5 a month.
It only takes a second, and its a bargain at twice the price!
faked his death in an email communication in July.
Not the kind of guy you want in charge of a submarine. Or any other command post.
Thanks for showing me this. I did a quick search, but I guess I wasn’t thorough enough. I looked up Pittsburgh and Ward.
What a liar, special forces, fake name, faking death and then appearing in the papers as you take on command! Incredible arrogance and stupidity. 7 days is the shortest command I’ve ever heard of.
The real way to eliminate these incidents is forced separation with no retirement or reduction to next inferior pay grade if already at 20+ years. We can’t keep handing out the golden parachute and expect these clowns to change their ways.
He could have survived this if he had only claimed he was “gay”.
Sad all over.
Hahahaha!
He may not get an honorable discharge. If he doesnt get that, I dont think he gets the majority of the Veteran benefits.
If he faked his death before he found out he was supposedly a father, this is just a case of conduct unbecoming...
Rather creative break-up.
Close but no cigar. I knew a guy who took command of a boomer off-crew and two days later had a nervous breakdown from the stress.
Seems like the commie rats have a possible new Presidential candidate!
Separated? A lie.
Special Ops? Another lie.
Dead? A third lie.
"Forsaking all others" in his wedding vows? Yep. One more lie.
Name: Michael P. Ward II. The truth. Oops.
If he had simply lied about everything, like Clinton and Obama do, he wouldn't have had to die, lose his job, lose his wife, and lose the kids. If you're going to be a lying pig, go whole hog. Better yet, maybe this guy could have shown the same integrity in his personal life that I hope he demanded of his subordinates in his professional life.
Wow. And he really thought it would not catch up with him? Classic.
